Dropped for the North Melbourne game this weekend. Needs to lift her standards.
Don’t want to shame her, but looked unfit in the two games I have seen this year.

Our most talented footballer at the club not applying herself, unfortunately our professionalism and standards have absolutely dropped off a cliff

As I wrote in the game day thread - when your profession is being a chef, and you aren't a full time professional athlete, putting on weight is a sure bet.

Abbey Dowrick has improved this season and I expected the same for Hannah with a full preseason. Disappointing but all part of the learning curve for a young person and young team.

The club can also confirm midfielder Hannah Ewings will take extended personal leave from the group and won’t be available for selection in 2024.”

Hmm. This is enough to make you wonder whether she's played her last game for the club.

Hope she sorts whatever problem she has out and comes back fitter, insanely talented player.

The club needs to make it a top priority that she realises her potential.

So we've lost Young, Tahau and Ewings for the season before a ball has even been bounced. Is it time to just forfeit and look forward to 2025?
Let’s see a few matches before we forfeit, we still have a promising side on paper.

Still got Shineah Goody, Molly Brooksby and Piper Window who were all rated Top 10 or thereabouts draft picks, and Matilda Scholz in her second season with another pre-season under her belt.

Also, the very experienced Kirsty Lamb who we got from the Western Bulldogs is sure to add plenty (been in the comp since the very beginning, 67 games experience, All-Australian, Club B&F winner etc.)
