Class by the man. He has left a champion and not a pariah like Clarko/Malthouse at their clubs

Yeah a good exit is critical when you have a legacy. Looks like he’s done that

Such a great ideas coach on motivating players. He educated himself and got the most from his talent.

It is exciting though looking for a new coach and i firmly believe a player clean out is required. Onwards and upwards !

Dimma quits mid season saying he is burnout and the AFL Media nuffies can't help but start specualting how Suns or Power will hjave to be on the phone to him about coaching. Which would mean straating it all again in like 3-4 months. After doing this for 13-14 years.

Give it a ******* break.
he will coach again from 2025

Well done Dimma. What extraordinary history and legacy you created at Tigerland.
You've certainly entertained an opposition fan over the years. I will miss your after match pressers.

Astute personal insight to know when it's time to step away for yourself and the team and to carry through on that :thumbsu:
Wishing you blue skies.

Its for sure his greatest impact. How many players came through under him and reached their full potential and really even higher than thought. Most of them. Essentially all of them. Butlers the only one of the top of my head that left and had a much better season (other than young guys like Higgins and Stengle).

Our elite picks went to max potential and beyond. Guys like Lambo come in and do the same. Role players like Townsend come in and play the best footy of their careers. He got the absolute best out of almost everyone.

Parrot dissecting all that on AFL website thinks that Gales reference to finding the next Damian Hardwick could mean we may go for an untried coach again
Reckons it was easy for Hardwick smile and get the players up and about because we were winning. How did 2016-2017 happen then Purple? What a ****head. His new coaching philosophies we adopted in the 2016 off season changed the landscape of coaching thereafter. How many coaches have started the love and care approach since Hardwick popularised it? **** I hate that pock marked dweeb.

Thats for sure possible. Even talking about him coaching 2024 is just pathetic. Hes talking about the mental toll this takes and they can't help but speculate about him going to other clubs BEFORE hes even announced it. Putting pressure on other coaches and doing the exact thing thats contributed to Dimma calling quits.

Absolute scum. Yesterday Damo goes on about how "ths is too early to talk about, but its going to be talked about eventually, so I guess we will just start talking about what will be talked about". No its doesnt have to be. You are choosing to. You are making this talk happen. You are starting it right now by speculating on what speculation here will be. You're self aware enough to mention how it contributed to the mental toll of coaches yet you still go on and do it in the next sentence.
