Not sure what the point of this thread is tbh. It'd be nice for Reid to have a nomination to begin with, however the only first year player to be nominated is Gallagher, who was overlooked in his draft year back in 2021.
History would indicate that a first year player, whose first eligible draft was 2023, will win the gong but none of them have been nominated to begin with.

Newcombe laid 14 tackles in his very first game. Not sure how many he broke through given I dont think that is a stat.
It's a media voted award. He will win in easily, unless he gets injured, or there's a newer, shinier play thing for the media to fawn over
