It doesn't bother me, I think it's funny.

But it's like a guy who gets fired for extreme incompetence, gets given a lottery ticket as his redundancy package and then pockets a cool $30 million. Of course he'd be stoked, I could see how others get a little triggered if he drove by in his Ferrari though.

It's not like West Coast were even a doomed team like North Melbourne. One Harley Reid and the rest of the organisation sparking back to life, and it was very easy to see a path back to relevancy.

I’ve seen some rubbish on here but this is the dumbest take I’ve read. Acknowledging a player’s ability on the team you support is not gloating about winning a spoon. List builds take time and when you’re in the flag window you keep yourself in it as long as you can, often at the expense of draft capital to trade in established players. This sometimes means when you come back down the fall is harder. We’ve had some rubbish years for our turn at the bottom of the cycle, we were assigned the draft pick and used it on who we thought was the best player was and hindsight shows we got it right.
