If a Victorian SOO side was picked tomorrow, would he be in the side?
Coach and spiritual leaderHe would be captain
Harley Reid has been outstanding so far. But the media need to stop piling so much pressure on him.
Harley is a star in the making and already has superstar status in WA.
Wait for a couple of years when he is playing primetime big games for Collingwood.
He will be a household name worldwide
Harley and Nick in the same midfield = promoter's dream.
Media are ridiculous only a matter of time he is driven out of WA.
He would be their GodHe would be captain
Gotta wonder what its like to be kicked the ball by one of the rising stars of the AFL.It’s not really arrogance, Harley is just excited to be able to play alongside Jake Waterman.
Calm down.... Nick Daicos can be Moses
How exciting is it, having a generational talent?!Calm down.... Nick Daicos can be Moses
Wasn't he getting pestered for autographs constantly at a WAFL game?Media are ridiculous only a matter of time he is driven out of WA.
Because John Kizon is still alive.Prince? Why not King?
Seems to be print media mostly, and people over here don't buy into it.Media are ridiculous only a matter of time he is driven out of WA.
I tried explaining this to someone earlier - going to Melbourne is not the same as going home.West Coast can build their next flag around this guy, he is an absolute super star. He's the most exciting first year player I have ever seen. I also think his entire career will be with the Eagles too. He's not a Melbourne lad so the go home factor wont really be there
It does look like Reid is enjoying everything so far. But eventually when things turn, will he still enjoy it? If he signs a massive contract and things don’t go well, how will he fare? What no one wants is another Tom Boyd like situation where the expectation is so big the player suffers.Seems like he loves it?
Almost looks like a full blown American-style superstar athlete entering our league.
He knows he’s a freak & leans into the hype and attention, rather than play the humble Aussie who’s scared to get shot down.
There also seems to be a real lack of tall poppy about him when it comes to the fans too. Usually superstars are picked apart almost immediately for being too good, everyone is united in saying ‘yep this is pretty cool to watch’.
