McKay, Walsh, Cerra, Motlop, McGovern, Williams. They would be almost 1/3 of the salary cap, yet each one of them is barely at AFL level.

Can't always blame Voss, when the contracts handed out to VFL plodders are worth millions of dollars.

So you've got 8 A and B graders (rough analysis, but thereabouts based on the game tonight), and 15 C and D graders. Have some injuries/players missing, but it's just not the list to contend as it stands now. Bottom 6 is probably Bottom 4 in the league.

They’re suffering because Cerra, Williams and Docherty were probably projected to sit in that A grade bracket, were it not for injuries/form.

You massively overrate your list, causing problems such as the one there is now.

Walsh is a plodder who can't kick and has zero defensive ability. Cerra is a squib who has no tank. McKay is a liability with how rubbish he is up forward, Blues would be so much better with just Charlie up there.

Yet these guys are all on huge $, and Carlton fans think they are worth it.

McKay Cerra and Walsh are not VFL level players lmao. I'm under no allusions as to where they are as players atm but they aren't VFL plodders.

And Cerra also isn't on big coin, he's on a very moderate contract.

Cripps is a match winner, seen him take the team on his back countless times to get them over the line 2x Brownlow medallist

TDK is clearly there best player and probably the best ruck in the league

Unfortunately it looks like Vossy sees him as fodder to save his own career.

It’s similar to throwing Curnow into defence for the last minutes of a quarter.

It’s under sixteens stuff.

The really crazy part is Carlton traded their natural first and second round picks (currently pick 4 & 22) to Hawthorn last year. Entirely possible that the Hawks win the minor premiership and land a top 3 pick this year because of that trade.

And even more crazier WC had the option to choose either hawthorns own picks or Carlton’s….of course choosing hawthorns - then again this is from the list manager and club who thought Matt Owies was Difference maker in beer for p3 trade soooooooo…..
