I dont agree with naming and shaming, but i did see cousins over 2 years ago,
at that dirty club area 61... He was defiantly on something, it was after there wizard
cup loss to Carlton in the final.

I have also seen another High profile 'Marque' player up to no good, aint going there though....

Just makes me realise that half of these players are kids and facts are they are going to go out and get on it.

Seen Barry Hall twice out.
First time was way back in 2000, during his wild St Kilda days. Every man (and women) and his dog came up to him for a chat. However as the hours dragged on, everyone realised how slaughtered he was up till the point where nobody could be stuffed hanging around him.

Second time was last year just before round 1, and while he was drinking, he was fairly in control.

Yeah in '95 for a few weeks after Carltons premiership win i saw the guy known as "Dog" frequenting a few places along Chapel street. He was both very very drunk and very very scary.

Seen a heap of cats players out and about during the off season.

Also saw a few high profile bulldogs, a couple of hawks and a few ex players blind off their **** at the crown night club once.

Shouted/ got shouted a few drinks with them. Absolute top blokes.

Been out drinking with quite a few AFL boys. Some wild nights, some tamer nights but end result we all had a great time, no violence/drugs/wild scenes. Just a bunch of good blokes. Won't name names but none were the ratbags you hear about on tv.

I've been back to Geelong twice in last 4 months. Both times i went out and both time i saw football players. Both were from different clubs. One was smashed and asking for ciggerettes every 5 mins and this was in the past 4 weeks and he's be playing, he was sucking them down like there was no tomorrow. I don't want to name names or teams but i was pretty surprised.

see the cats players out sometimes in geelong. Saw them all one night over the summer, and most of them looked pretty drunk. Shannon Byrnes was absolutely smashed though and got kicked out...he then preceded to take on these two massive bouncers, telling them to 'hit me', 'hit me' (mind you i was lining up to get into this place, watching on with at least 50 people in line watching as well). The bouncers ended up hitting him 3 or 4 times in the head, and byrnes continued to be a smartass, with blood nose and ripped t shirt. It wasnt until Gary and Bartel came out that Byrnes was dragged away and it settled down.

Then why do it?

Who cares if players go out and have a few drinks. Same standards should apply as to the rest of society, as long as they behave themselves then it's not a problem.

I wasn't talking about a couple of beers....

More like a bag of coke!

Saw Russell Robertson and Yze at crown when I was over there during the '05-'06 off season. Yze was absolutely smashed, remeber Robertson saying "ooze ya ____, get up ooze", because Yze was completely legless.

Saw Buddy F off his face down in Lorne this year for the pier to pub, and he was hanging out with Gaelin from Big Brother of all people. Hoodlum.

No doubt asking him for Krystal Forscutt's number.

Fev was smashed one night in early 00's at a nightclub in Hobart, he asked if I had any smokes so i gave him a cigarette and he lit the wrong end up (filter).

Luke Brennan seemed a little... ummm... lets say Under the Influence of an unidentified item... when he was playing for BHH. Quite possible he was one of the players mentioned in the now injunctioned report:)

One bloke I bumped after 2006 Derby day racing was Nick Maxwell and he was a SUPER bloke.
Bought me a couple of drinks and was a genuinly great unassuming guy to have a chat with. He was well juiced but didn't turn into a knob.
So I actually like him, despite the chorus of criticism he knocks around this place.
