I work doing maintenance over at Crown Casino in melb & i've seen a few footy players around there.

I saw Juddy the morning after he won his brownlow, he was with Chad Fletcher, both seemed straight as. Seen Fev walking round with the missus a few times. Seen Frasher Gehrig there SH*T FACED with Aaron Hamill one morning. The most recent, though, was Ben McKinley. He was there wednesday, for the NAB Rising Star Luncheon. I've also seen (just walking around) Luke Hodge, Gary Lyon, Billy Brownless, Paul Salmon, Peter Bell, Sam Mitchell, Andrew Walker, Jarrad Waite, Marc Murphy, & i think there's been more but can't think of them atm.

The most interesting story though, of a player i've seen, wasn't a footy player, but an NRL star. I was working night shift at crown & i saw Greg Inglis off his head, with his missus, but because i realised who he was i looked at him. For some reason he thought i was eye balling him & started yelling at me while he was probably 15m behind me. I stopped & looked back, & then he walked right up to me, face-to-face, & started asking me why i was looking at him. I just said "your Greg Inglis aren't you?" & he said "so what if i am? stop looking at me". I then said "mate i just realised who you were. That's it". He continued to tell me to stop looking at him, all while his missus was trying to pull him away. I then said "mate, what the f*ck is your problem?". He then stepped out of my face & spat on the floor right next to me & said "you can tell the papers i did that too". I then just shook my head while laughing, then just turned around & walked off. He continued to yell at me but he never came after me. Was weird. Especially too because he's like 6" something, built like a brick sh*t house & im a mear 5"8, 85kg.

Good Times :D

Haha! what a prick, must of had a really bad day... Who gives a rats toss bag anyway bloody NRL beef cakes...

When he spat at you and said
"tell the papers what i did to you!"

you should of replied
"Melbourne Papers wont write about wash up NRL players living in Melb"

At the Arizona bar about 10 years ago I guess, dancing with some random and thought i was doing alright, turned around to look where my mate was, turned back around and Byron Pickett cutting my lunch! I was going to hark up, but didn't want to get shirtfronted in front of all of those people! :D

Were you coming from, or going to, Santa Fe Gold? That was a good place back in the day - I had a mate who worked in the BHP building across the road, so anythime I rocked in to get on the piss with him it was drinks cards at the Arizona, then off to the strips:thumbsu:

The Portland (as it's called now) is shite, I've drank there once, but without free booze and strips it's NOTHING...

Tony Modra is probably the greatest bloke ever to have played the game. :D Spent some time in Adelaide in the 90's, and still ocassonally go there. The stories are endless, one of the best was when he nailed N.V with David Pittman and Crows entourage hiding in the closet. Plays for Encounter Bay now I think and loves a beer enjoys a chat with us little people...gun.

N.V.....Nikki Visser????

Haven't heard that story before...where'd ya pull that one from pal....

Went out about 10 years ago with a few of the Carlton boys at the Hi-Fi Bar in the city. Brad Pearce and Justin Murphy were legless.

I put back a few with the legendary Mil Hanna at that place, great bloke and wasnt drunk.

Had a huge night with Dog Brown a few years back at a few pubs in Hawthorn, he was in great form, worst thing he did was steal my gf's chips but then bought a bottle of scotch, I wasnt that fussed.

Earlier this year I downed quite a few Jagerbombs at a pub in richmond with a few of my mates. We were all drunk and happy and literally talking to anyone who came up to us. Ended up drinking with another group of blokes and crapping on about footy one of them was Marc Mecuri and he was a champ from what I can remember.

No lie at all, but had a few drinks with Buddy and Roughy on a Thursday night in May this year and they were playing Melbourne on Sunday... We were at the Casino and they were completely off their heads...

Great laugh and weird cats on the sauce..., but it didnt look like they cared much for that sunday's game at all...

Evidently Buddy kicked 3 goals 3 behinds & Roughead 1 goal 3 behinds...

A few of the Port boys ive encountered at a little Gothic/Punky joint on Hindley Pre-season and Post-Season. Main memories were Catdog flashing his 6 pack to get the chicks :D and Chad going hard with the Air Guitar :thumbsu: . Dom and then retired Matty Primus were the best behaved.
And Nick Stevens was always a Regular at the General Havelock on Sunday nights without fail while he was at Port but always seemed under control.

Showing my age but have seen David Rhys Jones (he wanted to bash me for no reason on Fitzroy Street many years ago), Jason Dunstall (angry drunk!), Kouta with his pants/undies down around his ankles at the Metro off his head, Travis Johnstone drunk by himself at the bar at about 6:00pm, Chris Tarrant pissed and rubbing his nipples at at well know nightclub a few weeks out from the finals when playing for the Pies. And a lot more that don't immediately spring to mind.

Playing in bands at pubs/clubs for years lets you see all sorts of stuff.
