The most staggering part of umpiring was the disrespect to JHF.
Probably first bloke in afl history to be coat-hangered and penalised.

It’s a symptom of having the worst umpires every week. The most staggering part of umpiring was the disrespect to JHF.

Patch was outcoached today (only game 2 TBF). We were smashed in the midfield but check out TOG for Jed, JHF, Powell and Taylor. All among the lowest for the match. His move from Jy to wing in the last at least gave us a different look. But we can't have this group at 73%.Don't put a lot of blame on the defenders or forwards, it was the midfield that allowed this game to be played the way it was. Poor disposal forward meant our forwards had a tough time getting to the ball while the defenders had to cope with not only good disposal coming their way but immense space.
You need to actually have a healthy one on the list in order to do that…Priority pick 2 welcome
Next week let’s actually play a key forward so we have a bail out kick target and target in the 50
Walker providing a contest in the air would have been at least something to bomb toYou need to actually have a healthy one on the list in order to do that…
shame the coaches aren't able to publicly complain about it either. The most staggering part of umpiring was the disrespect to JHF.

Who do you suggest?Priority pick 2 welcome

McKay had another good game, especially when you factor how poor we were in terms of putting pressure on their ball carrier today.
Young was good down back as well, used the ball well coming out of the back line.
LDU struggled to get much of the ball early, still managed 30 disposals, 2 goals and 6 clearances, if only everyone's poor game was at that level.
Despite the body language, you can see the potential with JHF when we will get better, kicked a goal and had 2 goal assists despite only 11 disposals. Just hope he sticks around because, hopefully he gets to play with Cunners there next year.
I think Taylor has improved this year, one of our players who can go into the middle and hit a target.
Powell will be a good player, he just needs to fill his body out, the physical aspect is beyond his small frame atm.
Despite Scott not been clean with the ball, one of the few that ran hard for four quarters. He just needs some polish and have more players prepared to run with him.
Stephenson has been better since the Lyon bake, has played more aggressively, has really applied himself with attempts to tackle.
I think it is hard for our midfield to flourish with Greenwood and Anderson in the middle. Simpkin also should have been moved forward a lot earlier than he was, we left the midfield to be dysfunctional for too long.
Yep. But, again, whatever.Emotional letdown from last fortnight is disappointing as it is predictable.
We probably tried to play a game plan with no tall forward line that our current skill level doesn't cater for. Would have preferred to see Steevo back for another week.
The first quarter was the game. I reckon an experienced coach who'd seen Blundstone before wouldn't have cost us badly in the first half. I thought we adjusted in the third quarter so at least he learned. Honestly Patch wouldn't have been at Blundstone for a game since 2015 would he? Maybe once or twice.Give up 8 goals in the first quarter then gave ourselves no opportunity to get back into the game by terrible hand passing, poor kicking and timid around the ball with no hunger to win the pill.
They've been drilled for 18 months on a crud game plan that's only being tweaked. If this crap is still happening half way through next year then the excuses start to fade fast.So we sacked the coach. What’s the excuse now?
Pitiful performance.
It wasn’t the first time JHF got hit high and they ignored it.shame the coaches aren't able to publicly complain about it either.
We need Bailey Scott to improve his decision making. They've been drilled for 18 months on a crud game plan that's only being tweaked. If this crap is still happening half way through next year then the excuses start to fade fast.

He got away with murder today.Mitchell has used Finn to perfection this year.
Yeah the midfield balance is too slow and awkward. Still think we need another athletic mid in the draft even with TT and Philips back to round out this group.
shame the coaches aren't able to publicly complain about it either
What a joke that was .The most staggering part of umpiring was the disrespect to JHF.

To be fair to Daicos, he probably wouldn't have expected this level of success. His mob finished second bottom last year. Most people were expecting them to be 12th or thereabouts. Unfortunately however, the Pies are a well run clubSkills atrocious x 20 players.
JHF just not handling being on a struggling team. Not many early picks dominate on a wooden spoon team. Daicos gets to go to work in his first year in a finals bound team - different attitude, different environment.
