If Clarko didn't have a problem with Sic, then neither do I. Move on guys, there are far more important things to worry about.

I can't understand why people are being so harsh towards a young guy who was outstanding during the game and copped a footy in the face. Big Sis is passionate and he plays on the edge, traits that I think Clarko would love, he has almost said as much.

Some of our greatest players have had similar traits.

Sure, if he starts accumulating needless frees, 50's or suspensions then we may have an issue that needs addressing, until then let him play and let the the two adults sort things out between themselves.

*Note - Most of our current greats including Hodgey and Rough have been known to give away frees and 50's that have resulted in goals for silly, some may say undisciplined play.

I thought he needed to chill during the game but not a big deal, everyone overreacted.

To say he needs to be dropped or any of that, Dermie stepped on a blokes head (after he left us obviously, but he was always that player), Lethal broke a guys jaw, Lewis was punching people every few weeks at some stage, Hodgey hip and shouldered a guys head into a post, Lake was strangling a guy on the field, and some people wanted to see Sicily dropped in an exceptional circumstance where he gave a slight one handed shove to a teammate, come on now, I know damn well that we didn't want those guys gone. He played even better after the incident, this is a guy that can control that fire and turn it into a weapon for us.

And speaking of sooks, loved the guy running around for us but geez Buddy could lose focus for a whole game after a physical incident, and Roughy and Sammy can both get a little too into complaining to the umps while a game is going on. The guy was physically hurt and lost it for a minute or two, the club will survive I'm sure,

What he did is fine, I'll worry about Sicily when he's been reported 12 times in a year like Toby Greene.

He probably thought he copped a boot in the head, and whether it was right or not he was upset at not receiving a free for Kicking in Danger. Plus you wouldn't know what it's like being a fiery redhead, it's hard to keep all of these emotions bottled up sometimes

I'm pretty sure Sicily went much harder at Duryea than is reasonable. Something like, "F off" with angry finger pointing. I'm all for the passion, but it's important to remember team. There's been no indication that duryea went after him with anything like that sort of aggressiveness.

Anyway, they kissed and made up after the game, walking off the field with arms around each other. I've only seen one photo of that (as it undermines the whole Sicily is outta control meme). And I'm pretty sure this incident has had far more play outside the club than inside.

If it were me, I would expect a level of respect amongst teammates. They are in all im the game to win. No big deal.

Look maybe your right maybe we have an over reaction to a degree, but his aggression was a terrible look , and in the instant I thought here 's a bloke who could go right of the edge in a given circumstance, these boys are paid huge money, a team mate at Hawthorn is much much more important than someone you can give that type of language to, Duryea forgave him? But its done its still there, and Sicily should never ever do it again, now I've seen players get forceful with a team mate to calm him, but that wasn't forceful in a good sense,the reaction back to Duryea , I think he would be offended and it'll stay , even just a little bit, people don't forget.
Sis as we call him , do we? Made a dreadful mistake.
In the heat of battle can usually be called as allowed .
That incident with Taylor was not anything "inside the team" that should be tolerated.
I am not saying any more about this , but I won't change my mind, that boy should wake up , don't give him pat for abuse to a team mate, Ever!

I'm sorry, but I think you are too critical of a young player still learning the game.

I am however entitled to an opinion which is different from yours and some others on this board.

Big Sis is a gun, played an outstanding game, if I had been kicked in the head with a footy at such close range I would have probably done much worse than he did and I'm old enough to know better.

I love his passion and until that becomes an issue re costly frees, 50's or suspensions there is no issue.

Love seeing Hawks players showing a bit of passion on the field, and I'm sure Doc was probably expecting a spray from Sis before he even served it, probably would have done the same if the roles were reversed.

What I liked was Brand and Doc trying to refocus Sis, that is leadership right there. Sis was pissed off and probably stinging, but we all know the umpire will not change his mind. Sis need a reminder of that, problem was doc was a second too late as Sis got the meassage from Brand and was moving on.

Yep. The key here is he settled down and played a brilliant game. Which I am positive is all that Clarko cares about.

Had he gone crazy, given away free kicks, got reported, and cost us a bunch of goals then you can be sure he would have been in trouble.
