Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

Tuck is very, very stiff.

Some other person is very, very lucky to once again escape the chop.

Yeah, Young is fast becoming the Mark Taylor of the HFC. Seriously, how many chances will he get to find his form??
He won't get a tag tomorrow night so if he has another average game, questions will need to be asked.

Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

Tuck must be slightly injured and they dont want to risk it, boyle being dropped is a ok desicion wish he had showed some hunger this year but he seems he has lost his confidance in his abilty...

Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

1. west coast have just dropped (some forced, some not) 5 experienced players froma side that just got thumped by 130 points!

2. Tuck very unlucky, but I'd prefer Crawf in than Tuck.

3. Boyle out, needed to go. Would have been very shitty if Murphy, Young, Ellis, Dew or Rioli missed a game instead of this guy.

4. Actually think we should have found a way to get Tuck in the side. Games like this are great for young blokes. Their side is full of youngn's!

5. We have to dominate this game for the entire 4 quarters!!!

Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

I'd put money on one of Tuck or Clarke coming in as a late change.

Really glad to see Williams, Franklin and Roughead as the only three specialist forwards. No offense to Boyle, but I really didn't like our structure with 4 taller players up there.

Best side we've had for a while, and we've still got Bateman, Taylor and Sewell out, so shows we really have been under-done lately.

Massive outs for West Coast too, we really have no excuse this weekend.

Yup we havent done that for a while. would love to see us up by 20 points at quarter time..

If we're any good we'll fair dinkum belt WC ...

I'm thinking we'll win by a min of 10 goals

Buddy Boy to kick 8

Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

People must understand that Young is not our primary runner and WILL struggle when the likes of Crawford and Bateman are not in the team. He is still young and learning how to shake of the harder tags he has been receiving, however, with Bateman and Crawford coming back in over the next couple of weeks I think you can expect to see him come back into it.

Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

People saying we should win by like 50+ have to remember just because Geelong thrashed them doesn't mean to show we are just as good that we have to win by so many points I mean look at Melbourne, we thrashed them by 100+ and then Geelogn only beat them by 30+ in the end.

Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

Geeze we're good ... Tuck and Boyle out who would be in all other teams sides, Taylor, Sewelly, Joey, McGlynn waiting in the wings and 11-2 ...

I really hoped that Boyle would stay in the side. Poor guy has had hardly any training or match fitness and he is a guy that takes a month or so to get his fitness up. Had a long chat to Boyle at training one night and he is bar none the best bloke I've met wearing a Hawthorn jumper. He also plays such a team game and is very accurate from limited opportunities which is under-rated. Another month or so of fitness and he would have been back to his best. Tuck is stiff also and so is Joey getting dropped a few weeks back ... We just have so much depth that the coaching group have the 22 they need in mind and are using the depth to manage that group. Future looks scary though and with Renouf in the team it's just H2F heaven at the moment for me ...

Can't believe the media are criticising us again. We have almost all our runners out and are still doing ok, what a joke.

Also think Youngy is struggling because of this too and I am glad the coaching group are being loyal to him. He is the barometer of our team and when he is running and linking up we never lose. Without all our mids he has had to go and be accountible which takes away his weaponry and sucks ...

Anyway go the Hawkers !!! Anyway who doesn't think we will flog Geelong and the Dogs when the finals comes is seeing something I don't ...

GO HAWKERS !!!

Re: Team v W.C.E. Tuck /Boyle out C & Cin

finally Boyle is gone, think he may have played his last game for the Hawks

Tuck getting dropped is a joke

Rioli should have been rested, as he looks tired

Murphy very lucky to escape the axe

One of the most ridiculous statements on this forum, ever.

If one of Franklin or Roughead get suspended or injured who do you think will come in?

From the other thread...

Hawthorn

10 who have played every match, with 16 having played at least 10 games. Of those 16, only 1 (Mitchell) had played more than 100 games. 6 of them had played less than 50 games.

Of the 15 who have managed less than 10 games this season, five of them (Crawford, Dew, Croad, Guerra, Hodge) had played more than 100 games. Eight had played less than 50 games before this season.

We've had 6 players play all 13 games, and 12 who've played at least 10.
Of those 12, 8 have played over 100 games. This week 3 of those 100-gamers go out, leaving us with 8. The Hawks have 5.

This week's squads:

WC
>100: 8
50-100: 3
<50: 11 (7 10 or under)

Haw
>100: 5
50-100: 10
<50: 6 (2 10 or under)

On average, the two teams probably have around the same experience despite having very different ranges. Good ranges for the Hawks at the minute, and importantly there is quality distributed through each one.
