How ? If we lose next week and Swans, Cats, GWS and Crows win. We drop out of 4 because of our rubbish percentage.

Not yet its not. If we lose our last 2 games we are out by percentage if Cats, Swans, Crows and GWS all win their remaining games.
GWS are now 2 games behind

Is Birchall the most dependable bloke with the ball in his hands and a kick about to be delivered?

Thought he was so reliable today.

Mitch by hand and Birch by foot... we are blessed at The Family Club.

Birch for a long part of this season has been pretty ordinary at vital times by foot, he has certainly lifted that though, today was brilliant.

St.Kilda supporters yelling Bruuucceee everytime josh bruce gets the pill.. Spare me

I actually don't think birchall been bad at all its just that his name isn't corey Enright.
Anyway a frustrating game to be at today, we dont quite look premiership material but who is? I don't think any teams out of our reach. We just need to be cleaner going inside 50. Burton showed more in a half than tob has all year! Burton and sicily are mobile enough to play in the same team so out goes fumbles Langford and in comes sicily to give oppo defences a nightmare! Good strong win considering kangas aren't a bad side who have their season on the line.

We lose next week and at worst we are fourth. We need one more win for top four to be guaranteed

Brand was kicking it like a donkey. Langford had a severe case of the fumbles which cost us goals. The rest of the team was pretry good.

Happy with the performance. ..

Thought the weakness of our forward set up was pretty bloody obvious. Not sure if it was so on the TV footage but I'll do my best to explain.

Say there's a stoppage 80-100m out from goal... Where are our forwards lining up? On the 50m arc. If we win the ball they start floating back towards goal with their opponent and get no separation going toward goal.

I'm assuming the idea is that as they float back the idea is that the space on the arc frees up for them to double back to lead into. Except it gets taken up by the oppo mids pushing back which then forces our mids to kick long and high and obviously that gets picked off by the oppo KPD more often than we get it on account of having no true KPF.

I would've thought it would be better for us if instead our forwards started deep and then led up to the 50m arc once we win the stoppage.

The standing around inside 50, the looking for a defenders body instead of the ball, the holding of any players that do try to move and the forwards who paly behind their opponent when the ball isnt coming over the back all don't help

Very pleased we got off to a great start, a little disappointed we were reeled back in to a degree, but pleased with how we steadied and kicked away again in the final term. Also very pleased to see Ryan Burton in the team, here's hoping for a long and successful career with the Hawks.

I cannot believe the crap about Langford.

He played an amazing role today. He murdered Wells. Not only tagging him from the stoppages but then running fiercely forward and Wells just gave up. He was awesome today and Wells was nothing.

I remember a shot of Wells sitting on the bench hands on head and i reckon he was thinking who is that prick!

If he was on Wells he had a win.

Agree with that H2F - but the fumbles in 2nd & 3rd Qtrs didn't help his chances.

You don't expect guys like Shiels and Langers should be held accountable for the jobs they do to help the team shut down the oppo's best mids???????????

I must have been watching a different game. I seen the Langers I've been seing all year, hard working, tough and standard turnovers and clangers. I thought he was serviceable.

Say that again.....................

Thought that Hill was close to our best today - for a guy who everyone claims is as soft as butter he really really pulls it out when required and no one in the whole ****ing competition runs as hard as he does all day. Will be essential come finals. Only player I'm trading him for is Fyfe.

Great game from Hill 12 score involvements, heaps of meters gained, hit the scoreboard, got spud firruto high in a tackle and got the htb as part of it.

Burton 7 score involvements, 3 shots, some nice marks, some nice field kicking a a beautiful little toe poke

Smith, gun, leader, same for Hodge and Mitch.

Birch, Gibbo, Burgers and Sizzle all great.

That's two times Tarrant has got the better of Jack he's a bloody good defender.

McEvoy when he wants to be is a good player, he's like the rest of the team chooses when to up the intensity.

First and fourth quarter were good the middle was extremely frustrating to watch at the ground because of how well we started
