Hawks and GWS finishing 1st and 2nd would be a dream. Particularly if we win our way through to the GF. We then have GWS being able to take out opposition that is in reality better than they are at their home ground where they play far better. GWS at the MCG in front of 90k+ (probably 2-3x bigger than their largest crowd most of them have ever played in front of) would surely be a walk in the park. Even if they lost their QF you'd expect they'd win their SF at home before we get them at the MCG in a PF in front of 60k+. Sydney/Geelong/Adelaide belting each other up in the other PF.

(Not getting ahead of things either, just relishing what that final standing could mean for our finals run).

This week's game against GC is probably the impost important, as far as ladder positions are concerned, for the season. I hope we bring our A game and not be complacent. We have dropped games the last couple of seasons in which we started as hot favourites. If we can win comfortably, it will really put pressure on the other teams and pressure does funny things to teams as seen by St Kilda v Geelong last night.

I thought I had heard that about 2-3 weeks ago on SEN. Today they seem to be talking up home finals at Spotless.

That would be unfortunate for them. Have they ever played a home game there? Presumably if we finish 1st and 2nd with them then Sydney are a good chance of finishing 3rd or 4th. Would be pretty unfair if GWS hosted the Swans at the SCG.
