Mitchell on Footy Classified now
Mitch was very good on Footy Clasified. Very honest and straight forward, he was nervous for a start, but he was great to listen to.

Everyone who tackles Selwood "tries to clothesline him".I heard it was payback for Selwood, apparently Mitchell is a dog player who keeps trying to clothesline Selwood.
I actually like the cats, and don't normally bag them out, but they seemed to be pretty heavy on the biff today, across the board, especially big dudes on little dudes, and Sam was copping it at all angles, all game.I counted at least 5 times where hawks players were put down off the ball today, I don't think the cats supporters can complain about the fair bumps the cats received.
So should we get a hearse for your curse now?
Too far from the food stands on the wing...What I don't understand is why they didn't change things at any point today? I thought Hawkins would have led up the wings a few time to isolate Clark (or vice versa), put Bartel forward etc. I noticed Selwood spent the last quarter in the forward line which was strange as well.
Frawley has some work to do. He's not running to the right spots, which is leaving his team mates confused - both his link runners and his intended targets.
Just nit picking, but I thought this stood out in what was otherwise an exceptional performance. Our stoppage work was great, and left them floundering.
They called Lloyd the Velvet Sledgehammer but it's more apt for Burgoyne.
Unlike Lloyd's sniperidge (that's a word - I swear), Burgoyne has a beautiful ability to make an opponent hurt big time and fairly while being an absolutely sexy beast (man love, no homo) with the ball in his hands.
^^^the hawks were not past their peak in 1990 1st week of finals…they were decimated by injury causing them to miss their only grand final in that 9 year period…they came back in 91 and won the flag….83-91 8 grand finals in 9 years for 5 flagsA seriously good football side, I've seen some debate on which side is the better, the current Hawks or the Hawks of the late 80s. Watching today this side is fast approaching the standards set by the Hawks in the 80s, the only difference and it isn't much of a difference but the Hawks of the 80s most likely would have won this match by a margin closer to 100 points.
The Hawks deserve to be premiership favorites although some saving grace for the competition is in 1990 the Hawks totally smashed Geelong in round 1 only to lose to Melbourne in week 1 of the finals but by that stage the Hawks were well passed their peak, wheres this group seem to still be improving.
2nd and 3rd quarters emphatic.
Premiership quarterS
My take was the cats aren't that far off at the ends, just need more depth/experience through the middle. when their best weren't tired, they competed
they'll flat track more than enough teams this year.
Could Burgoyne play on into Michael Tuck territory ? Hes tracking him atm
Everyone who tackles Selwood "tries to clothesline him".
Your a Wally.LOLFair to say I may have gone a little early with this thread - Prediction I'm calling it - wooden spoon 2015
Great synopsis...you shoud post more often
Unbelievable bit of play. Had me out of the couchOne where he up-ends Smedts with the first effort, dispossesses Smedts with the second effort, and shepherds Smedts with the third effort to give Hawthorn possession.
