This is just a fun little prediction thread about who will get which number. Obviously we are yet to find who we will delist if anyone at all but thought I'd have a crack. Will update as delistings are announced

What makes some so certain it will got to Harry?

Doubt 4 will be given to Hartung's replacement. Hawthorn tend to not do that to limit people comparing the two.

Honestly don't see Billy being de-listed. It would leave us with little to no depth on the wing - lose Smith or Hendo to injury and we are screwed. 1 won't be used because the club is always allowed to make a few stupid decisions, and the '1 for the fans' is the perennial stupid decision.

Hartung wont be delisted unless he decides to walk, I was under the impression we offered one yea a month back.

I don't believe Hartung has been offered a contract. I think he is on the chopping block. The Hawks tried to trade him but no-one made any offers.

Like how Menzel was a free agent and nobody came for him - he ended up signing with the Cats again for 1 year. Billy might have been on the table - but that doesn't mean he won't get a one year deal to see what happens. I would be shocked if he doesn't get another year - and I would see Willsmore and Stewart being delisted before him.

If this was 2016 I would agree with you - but from what I saw of Stewart at Hawthorn and Box Hill this year I don't think he progressed at all - if anything he plateaued or went slightly backwards. Does some good things, but does some very stupid things out of aggression. If we delisted him I don't think we would see him playing any higher than the VFL next year as a VFL-listed player.

I think if Billy isn't delisted he will be very annoyed regardless. Wether that is at the club or at himself we can only wait and see. I think that if he brings that anger into his game next year he will start to improve very quickly. This year most of his numbers slipped and his tackle count is something I want to emphasise. It went from 2.1 in 2016 to 1.6 this year. Will the Hawks want to keep someone like that?

It's not about what we want/think is ideal, we have to manage the best we have. No point in delisting a player because he doesn't meet your wants if you don't have someone better in the wings waiting and we don't.
