We will be lucky to win another game this season, we are a joke. Our coach has adopted a pathetic game plan and we just chip chip chip and never kick long.
Our players are ordinary, we don't work hard enough, are too soft and lack heart. We are a disgrace and watching this rubbish ****en ****es me off. Too many players are getting easy rides.

Hodge must be devastated, give him the captaincy clearly our best player, always trying and always our best.

If Everitt doesn't want to play for us next season trade him for whatever we can get, he is way past his best and has struggled all season.

Finals won't be possible for a very long time, we are a disgrace and our list is very overrated.

Clarkson will be lucky to survive the season.

We are a disgrace...........Clarkson sacked..........bring on a coach that has ticker and is willing to stick rockets up their asses when deserved.
I hate it so much my guts churns thinking about it, we need a new list, they all think they are better than they are.

CRAP......CRAP.....CRAP ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT

agree with everything siad their kipster.

the list is overrated, its pathetic, the kids are overrated, the senior players (we have what a couple) dont give enough, we think we're better than we are, big heads, expect everything to happen, don't work hard enough and the list goes on.

the problem starts with the coach. goodbye clarkson.

We have a coaching group of proclaimed 'hard man' but none of them want to give it to our kids. AC better drop alot of our players next week, we arent going to win many games but lets force some of these players to pull their fingers out when the heat is put on them.

Go back and check my posts from 4-5 weeks ago. I said then that we wouldn't win another game until at least round 19 and everyone jumped on me. I also said our younger players weren't coming on anywhere near as quickly as we need them to. Once even, I got howled down.

Time for us to wake up, excape from this dream world where we think a premiership will just suddenly happen because of draft picks .. and start damned well WORKING!!!!! We are going absolutely nowhere.

^Today Roughead is the only one showing some thing out of our young kids (besides Mcglynn who is killing them in the third), and it had to take till the 3rd Quarter before he did it. He looks alot more comfortable down back and we need to leave him there, let him finish the year down back his not going to improve throwing him forward then back just let him stay down back.

Spot on right. I totally agree with ya.

Dont give me that mate. Roughead was bloody terrible. Hasnt impressed me once this year..

Franklin was easily the best of the draftees, chased, had great disposal, set up goals and tried to make things happen. Good stuff buddy..

you lot are Bomber Fan wannabeeeees. We are the 1's who started teh DEMAND to sack our poor coach now we see the fans of 3 other rabble clubs (Blues, Kangas & now Hawks) join on the bandwagon ?

I suggest rather than talking about it in here, do something about it outside this Forum

^dont get me wrong, Franklin did play well, I posted that post at the end of the third quarter and I wasnt going to jump on Franklin to quickly. Franklin actually did chase which was good cos he is probally the most laziest player on our team. But lets be honest, he was playing on Lonie. But yes he did play well.........

The fact remains that we cannot hit targets on a regular basis.
Blokes like Sewell, ladson, Bateman, Kane all missed targets consistantly today.
Then we also had blokes who simply looked uninterested, once again ladson. Our attack on the pill when it was loose was shocking, in some cases it looked like our players actually waited for the port guys to come thru, in fact forget about looking like it, they did.
Not quite sure i'm goin to head down the same path here as others and say the coach is gone just yet, for we are only half way into a season when the preceding one only netted us 5 wins for the whole year. However, something is not right in the players heads, to have come out after putting in such a competitive effort last week and then bring that trash out today was really disappointing.

Some Positives: Lewis found space a number of times and got a fair bit of it, continues to play well, Brown gave his all all day, we need more of him( three or four would be good). Willo actually did some good stuff up the ground.
Hodge as per usual made second and third efforts and was clearly our best.
Buddy tried a few things and looked lively when he got it.

EDIT: Special mention to Tim Clarke, i'm not his biggest fan, but today i couldn't help but notice his endeavour and tenacity. something sorely lacking from a number of other blokes

Roughead is 19, has shown plenty of promise for his age, is expected to do far too much considering lack of support from bigger bodies.

Not sure why you would choose to highlight him, all things considered he is a definate positive for us, its Ladson, Ries, Brennan, Bateman who aren't kicking on as we would have hoped, not the kids who have just left high school.

Today was the best example you will see in the AFL of boys vs men

Some positives...

CONSIDERING we were 13 goals adrift at halftime we didnt let it balloon to ridiculous proportions... a 16 goal loss from our halftime position is well... atleast better than what it could have been!

McGlynn toiled hard, as did hodge, I agree Luke deserves the captaincy, he is a class above mitchell as a player and leader.

There are of course many negatives to dwell on, as you would expect with a 96 point loss... one thing that irritates me at the moment is the defensive pressure (or lack of) our forwards put on the ball when it's coming out of the forward 50 lead by buddy franklin, he is one of the laziest footballers at present in the AFL... Yes kid, you have the gift, but at present you're abusing it.

We have a young inexperience side in at the moment and were beaten by a side still holding 60-70% of a Grand Final team from only 2 years ago, on top of that our best Backman (jacobs) best forward (croad) and best midfielder/player over the last decade (crawford) were all out, plus our captain in Richie.

So all in all - Fair go guys... take a step back and have a look at what we're really facing here!! If not Clarko, then who? and would another person get any more out of what we have available to put on the paddock anyways?

Buddy played up the ground for most of the game, and he chased better than any of the other forwards today. I think you've got hold of the wrong end of the stick on that one.

I'll go out on a limb here and say the most dissaoppointing chaser in our forward line is our main goalkicker, yes Willo, with a couple of exceptions today his chasing and general second efforts in the forward half are bordering on pathetic, i'm not just talking about today, I've been thinking it for a fair few weeks now, if he doesn't get the mark he doesn't get the ball.
Intensity? none.

Agree with willo on lack of chasing second efforts, was most evident numerous times when he was up the ground and would just jog along 10m from the person with the ball or not chase. Is so frustrating to see someone who is meant to be one of the quickest in the club let other players beat him to the ball or run away coz hes too lazy or soft to chase. Only seems interested when the ball is in his hands, otherwise just spectates. Is a long way off being a quaility player. All the port fwds showed the way of the required workrate of a fwd.
