Will the AFL ask Hawthorn to please explain the lack of HIA performed on Jai Newcomble after the game against collingwood?
In the 2nd Quarter Jai and Kruger have a head clash in the collingwood forward line. Collingwood doctors come out and assess Krueger and do not even bother assessing Jai at any stage after the incident.
During this same passage of play Jamie Elliott gets taken off for blood rule and the game is stopped. Plenty of time for the doctor to come out onto the field to assess Jai which was never done.
The responsibility needs to be taken away from clubs as some are clearly less capable of keeping the players safe compared to others.
Independent review and word to the umpires to pause the game at next stoppage and advise player X needs to come from the field to be assessed.
