While other teams have suffered premiership hangovers, I think its fair to say Hawthorn are at risk of a premiership comedown.

A nasty, unable to sleep for days, getting irrtitable and fidgety comedown.

Anyway, seeing as Her Majesty's Royal Brigade of Gaylords aka Xavier's Year 12s aka the Hawthorn Bay13 contingent have demonstrated their love for the totally kewl practice of bumping old threads which has garnered them immense respect and admiration from across the whole Internet, I thought I'd create this one to be bumped within seconds of the final siren blowing on the 2009 Grand Final.

Will Hawthorn go back to back and win the 2009 flag or not?

State thy opinions.

Its all down hill from here ..... Croad\'s the new Egan , Crawford could not give a flying ****..... Hodge was carried floating across half back , he is the new Jason Cloke.... Ellis Ladson and birchill are weak little runts... Expect a bottom 8 finish next year. Bookmark it.

Pffft. A clear admission you fluked it this year.

Yep, fluked it, stole it, were given it...<insert own comment here> it....

Don't care....its ours...just in case you forgot too....here's a pic of it!

Confident you'll be able to bounce back for the big party next year?

Or was this a one off?

Come on, put your baws on the line.

I am confident we will finish in the top 4 and I would think we are capable of making the GF again. It will be alot harder to win in 2009 than it was in 2008. And considering it required a herculean effort this year, then I would shudder at the thought of what we'd have to sacrifice to go back-to-back...

By the way, you're gay

lol SLF, still going on about us. it seems the only threads you post in are about the hawks?

i still remember about 2 months ago when you said we were shit and all this crap. you even went on saying you would be the one to own me in the thread haha.

So you reckon you will win it next year?

Or are you going to hedge your bets all year, then if some other team does miss a load of set shots in the Granny, run around bumping threads like you somehow predicted it?

The hunter becomes the hunted - that's what happens when you win one, everyone wants to knock you off.

If we can get a good run with injuries, hit form at the right time and get a little luck, then yes, we can go back to back.

It's a nice problem to have.

It's not something you'll have to worry about, SLF, that's for sure.

Glad to see at least one Hawthorn who knows how their flag was won.

Anyway, simple question, will you go back to back?

In the 90s, every year after 94, until Carey decided to take Kelli Stevens for a magic toilet Dance, I thought the flag was North's to lose. Obviously, footy being footy, it didn't work out every year.

So if you guys are a real genuine power team, as you'd have us believe, why the lack of faith in your side?

LOL. Standing around watching Cam Mooney miss set shots is a 'herculean effort' now is it?

Good to see at least one Hawthorn fan with some balls, albeit shrivelled old mans nads.

Indeed.

SLF, if only it was that simple...like some posters on B13...

Its a little early to make a call yet (I think we just won the grand final 24 days ago), so making a call on next years winner at this point in time, is like predicting a melbourne cup winner some time in June??

But I do understand your attempt to troll and get Hawks supporters to do what SOME Cats supporters did this time last year...:D

LOL. Standing around watching Cam Mooney miss set shots is a 'herculean effort' now is it?

Nah, going in 10 times harder at the footy (Sam Mitchell excluded) is what was herculean. Running harder, and just being generally better than a supposedly unbeatable team was herculean.

Geelong's missed shots half cancelled out the attrociously favoured umpiring they got

I am a poor troll, extremely annoyed that the Hawks have made me look stupid.

I feel that if I somehow goad some Hawthorn fans to make ridiculous and outlandish predictions, for no reason other to satisfy my own pettiness, I may somehow be able to gain some sort of feeble 'revenge' in the event that they don't win the 2009 flag

I have taken the liberty of translating your post.

But, but, but ... after you guys spent so long bumping old threads, I thought I was DOING YOU A FAVOUR with this thread. You could all predict you'd go back to back and if/when it happened, you could all bump this thread and bask in your glory.

Geez, you try to help someone and they call you a troll.

Ungrateful wretches.
