Strange that burton,Sicily,hardwick,tob were all recruited as forwards what's going on?
Looking at miles,tob,cj (who I think will break into the 1's next yr ) and with birchall to come back starting to think we have a lot of depth of halfback. Maybe we will trade someone like burton who from s.a to acquire a wingard.

Probably find most recruits are mids or forwards because thats where most of the talented kids play.
Only variations seem to be height skills and style

Wouldn’t surprised me if Clarko threw Fri night’s game at selection. Knew we couldn’t win it and wanted to get ahead of the comp in trades. He’s all about building a list that can challenge. This trade period is as big as 2004 for us. Will set us up.

Even if Carlton get a few prize recruits, they'll be taught the Carlton way - play like crap and Carlton will still be in the same spot.

Meanwhile I'm looking forward to seeing what Hawthorn's plan of attack is going to be.
