That better not be true. Burton could be anything.

It's not and I don't believe the club has put that offer on the table
They get at best an end of first round pick for him next year.
Why would we pay two firsts for him this year when next year he can just walk to us.
We didn't do it for Shiel
The article says Port asked about Burton and Hawthorn entertained the idea. Nothing about Port refusing the offer or it was Hawthorns idea. They are saying it’s our idea and we have offered him.
Sammy wants his old number back in a player coach role?Burton has not been given the number 5 to be traded the following year. Nothing to see here, move along!
Our forward line has zero X factor. Watch our 2 finals again and it’s evident we need another option up there, he runs through the middle too.prefer going for another Worpel with pick 15 tbh, don't quite see what Wingnut can bring bar one way running and getting in Breust's way.
Why would we trade what Burton could become with a first round pick for a player that finished out side their top 5 in the B&F to just play the same role?It has been stated by posters earlier in the year that we have big plans for Burton in the middle and forward of centre in the future. Maybe the club thinks Wingard fills that void?
Ryan Burton wanted to move to play in Victoria when drafted. The supposed “offer” is nothing more than poorly researched guess work. Trading Burton puts our list “reset” in Reverse.
Fear not, there is zero chance Burton has or will be offered in any trade for Wingard. Port will concentrate on picks. Tipping a third party will be involved in this one.
