It's not and I don't believe the club has put that offer on the table

They get at best an end of first round pick for him next year.
Why would we pay two firsts for him this year when next year he can just walk to us.
We didn't do it for Shiel

It's not getting done with Pick 15 and Tim O'Brien..

Have to give to get.

Port fans have lost their minds. Demanding pick 15, next years first and Burton for a guy being thrown out of the club because he supposedly doesn’t work hard enough, sits in his room and plays Fortnite at away games and does the bare minimum on the training track.
Like an angry, irrational hornets nest they are.

prefer going for another Worpel with pick 15 tbh, don't quite see what Wingnut can bring bar one way running and getting in Breust's way.

It has been stated by posters earlier in the year that we have big plans for Burton in the middle and forward of centre in the future. Maybe the club thinks Wingard fills that void?

I feel a bit unclean for saying so, but gee I’d like to have the Chad. If Clarko could get him performing more consistently at his best level he’d be an absolute A+ hire.

I suggested burton wanted out last month and would be used for m.m and got absolutely canned.

I would In no way trade burton if he wants to sign a long term deal for wingard, a first round that's madness he has 3 yrs on him and can play multiple positions.

Such an unknown is Burto, was brilliant last year, showed he could be a superstar, but had a bit of a holding pattern year in 2018. Far from bad but didn't move forward in the leaps and bounds I was hoping for. The Chad slightly more of a proven commodity at this point.

Our forward line has zero X factor. Watch our 2 finals again and it’s evident we need another option up there, he runs through the middle too.
He’s a big inclusion to our team if this trade goes through

Ryan Burton wanted to move to play in Victoria when drafted. The supposed “offer” is nothing more than poorly researched guess work. Trading Burton puts our list “reset” in Reverse.

Fear not, there is zero chance Burton has or will be offered in any trade for Wingard. Port will concentrate on picks. Tipping a third party will be involved in this one.

Just in passing, I notice Billy Hartung got delisted by North. Recall there was a huge sh1tfight here when we moved him on, but seems like things didn’t work out any better? I liked Billy’s efforts for our club personally, and was glad he got a second crack.

Why would we trade what Burton could become with a first round pick for a player that finished out side their top 5 in the B&F to just play the same role?

I am not completely closed minded to trading Burton. There is a bit of Croad 2001 about him in that I don’t think he’s as good as fans think he is. I’m not convinced he will be more than a flanker, albeit a very good one.

Wingard has been and can be a top 20 player in the comp. Absolutely elite at his best and he is only 25.

But Burton and pick 15 is ridiculous. If Burton is part of the deal, no first rounders can be involved

Much prefer to keep Burton as I think he has good potential but we have to be realistic that we will have to give up something they want to secure their second best player in Wingard

Don't believe the story about Burton + 15 being knocked back by PAFC. They'd be crazy to refuse that given he's FA next year and reportedly pretty shat off with that club. Even if we just offered 15 by itself they'd effective be choosing between getting a first rounder for him now or a first rounder for him next year. 15 + steak knives seems more like a fair price considering the circumstances.

Just don't see us offering up Burton anyway.
