Come on guys. We just have to suck this in and move on. Brownie is doing well and good luck to him. He never gave less than 100% for us but it didn't work out for North or for Brownie. Now he'll probably get a decent tilt at success this year and I for one don't begrudge it to him. If James Hird reckons he's OK, there must be half a chance that he is.

Look, I never was much into Brownie as a player at North. Much the same as I'm not a great fan of Watt or Power as well. But, at the same time, I know these guys always put in. Brownie at times resembled a beached whale when he played for us. At the same time, I don't begrudge him a little bit of time in the sun! For God's sake, Laidley, Malthouse, Hird and Healy all have/had time for him. That counts for a little bit more than rabid post match rantings from us!

It's not just Healy who was giving Leroy a big rap today. I was in the car as the game finished and heard Simmo giving him a big rap on ABC radio and also caught a bit of Nick Maxwell giving a post match interview praising Leroy and how good he has been for Collingwood. Good luck to Brownie.

In fairness to the L.Brown knockers they have lynched MM for picking him in the side when he has no form and when other players would be better options. Not many people are fussed with his recruitment as he was taken with our last pick.

Also I heard that NMFC have won only 1 game in 7 years when neither Shannon Watt or Sammy Powers have played. Back in 2006 vs Hawthorn. We desperately need one or both in the team ASAP.

The stat is further complicated by the fact that Leigh Brown played in the hawthorn game in 2006.

Therefore the NMFC havent won a game in 7 years (since Laidley has been coaching) when we have lined up without either Leigh Brown, Shannon Watt or Sammy Powers.

Its a bit like Jordan Russell down at Carl....most supporters think he is a hack job...but Ratts really rates him and it shows from the fact he is never dropped. A few weeks back in the post game interview, Ratts said he was happy with Russell and he had done the task that had been set for him.

So it may just be a fact that they are doing the task that the have been given by the coach, and even though to a supporter it looks like that task is "butcher the footy and turn it over as much as possible"....they are keeping the coach happy....either that or they have questionable photos of the MC

Personally I think Browny is told to act as a decoy. Loved his decoy ruckwork against Hamish earlier this season. Deliberately let H-mac get the tap because their midfielders kept sharking it anyway. Was fantastic to watch.
