I'm not sure how long rochy with a population of 3k, continues in the gv, I'd think that league would 3-5 years away, from being thought about, cohuna is a similar sized town that's had great juniors, that wants to go into the hdfl
Cohuna couldn't get a 17s side together this year though...that being said Macorna's 17s have to rest players as their list is too big

I think aflvic knocked the move back last year, can't see that happening when both clubs have big junior bases, can't see cohuna knocked back, when their players come from the south and leitchy was let in which is 10 minutes down the road, creates a 12 team comp, and a pretty good standard

Cohuna going to have to tell a great story regarding their U 18s to get a look in aren’t they.

Can’t see any league bringing a club in, that isn’t fully playing in all groups

Didn't rochy not have a thirds team a couple of years ago?

Cohuna traditionally always have had strong thirds, they would have won at least 4 flags at thirds level in 20 years, plus a large number of pios footballers

Correct Trent. First year of Covid, GV bringing in U16 and the same time the Heathcote went to U18s.

Yep sorry not trying to have a go at you post, but it would be like the gv saying to rochy your out because you can't get thirds then heathcote not taking them, rochy and cohuna pretty similar sized footy mad, dairy towns that's all

Nah. I get that. But geez when your trying to get into a new comp. I would suggest making sure your ticking all the boxes to have a chance
Rochy ain’t going no where and to be honest have real nice numbers in U14 and U12.

Cohuna will be the biggest town in the league, what an ignorant comment, considering they field under 12, and 14.5 now as well in the central murray
Their U14.5’s have 4 kids playing in it that are over age because they have no colt’s and they need to top up each week with U12’s. They also get the mercy rule used against them pretty often and have won 1 game for the season. The lack of juniors runs a lot deeper than the colt’s.

Pretty confident that one thing that won't, or shouldn't come into consideration when deciding if any clubs come into the HDFNL going forward will be the health of the game along the river. Not sure how LG got into the comp in the first place but ask any side south of Lockington and they'll tell you they bring nothing in terms of support to away games
Shouldn’t the health of said club be the consideration in wether they decide what they want

They can decide whatever they want, there is no benefit whatsoever to the league in Cohuna joining.
The Loddon Valley should be making a pitch to Cohuna would be a real asset for them. With the potential of others joining in years to come the LV could prosper.

Probably not what they need. Cohuna would beat marong
They've never Won a Flag as the Cohuna Kangas? They've also had a good advantage in being a good sized town relavent to the Comp they are in and being the closest to Echuca, Bendigo & Melbourne as well. They would also be working to a smaller salary cap if followed. You'd expect them to be strong but I'm not sure they would be walking straight into a Calivil or Bridgewater tyoe dynasty.
