heard he was recomended to the new rdfl team the giants as well as a couple of edfl clubs been intersted
Elmore and colbo would make sense , be hard to convince all the old timers I bet thought. Elmore should look at a league like kdfl potentially

They are pushing to enter the Northern league from what their board said.
Apparently they have had a meeting with the league recently and put forward that a number of players at Avenel were returning and would have enough players. Remember that Broadford and Yea had to combine to get two senior teams only two or so years ago.
A couple of clubs have a different view - especially when they can choose closer leagues such as Riddell, Kyabram and Heathcote.

Colbo look to have a coach lined up for next year... possibly a ruckman and full forward too

Why not, its for the greater good of footy isn't it. They already go to leitchy, what's another 10 minutes?
losing the bye round and having to pay players for 2 extra rounds with no salary cap increase are the 2 main negatives I see.

Do you look to add these clubs with a view that in the end you can create north and south divisions, or east and west divisions?
Add a Cohuna, Marong and a Maiden Gully into a west division?
The LVFL is the most susceptible of the regional leagues, so maybe its clubs end up going to the NC, HD west - or maybe in one or two cases - the BFL?

Can you have a thirds comp so lopsided?
this is a big issue and this is the main reason why I think the Bendigo teams need to split from the others, it's a flow on effect through to the reserves and seniors (not always the case) but all successful clubs start at their juniors.
