from all reports the locky recruits are settling in well , all hardly missing a training session . It does pose the questions , is the canteen ready for teasdale and his love of dim sims ?
just how many single mums are there to keep Kelvin Agg happy ? Heffernan ?
will Doc Eddy spit the dummy when dragged , throwing his jumper at the interchange and head off down the road in his boots ?like he did a moama .( in his defence that was a decade ago and Tripplet was coaching )

And finally is Teasdale really infront of Newth in the trials like he say's ?:D

The Big fella is looking in great shape after a huge o week and says he will be giving up the piss from now uptil heathcote bring home the flag. Saw a highlights video and i dont think there will be too many people in the comp that will be able to contain the big man!

If your going on O week form I heard another one of your mates would be in the running with Longy in blistering form as a Menzies senior! Also Lechs team mate Condog would be stealing alot of votes.....

If he is fit he will have a great year and could come close but this year I think there could be 2 people from each club who could give it a rip

give us a rundown nesko

In some teams there are more than 2 but I'll just do 2 for each team.

Colbo: Night, Weeks
Heathcote: Featherman, Meldrum
LBU: Baker, Dohnt
Elmore: Grant, Cail
Mounts: Davis, Davie
North: James, Weston
Huntly: Birchmore, Sheilds
White Hills: Joyce, Sawyer

Just off the top of my head but I think every team apart from maybe Huntly and North could have another 2-3.

Sheilds as well. Will be hard to poll from the sidelines as he won't be playing this year.

Hi all, newcomer to Big Footy here, Thought i would throw a question out there, Rumors have it that Tim Ring, Jutty Hancock, Damian King, Damian Jaques and Sonny Middleton have all followed Steve Cox to his new home at Serpentine. Of course brother Shane and son Josh Shaw have also followed. Add to this Tony Ring going to Mittiamo, Dave Farley playing somewhere else, Alex Chapman going overseas and Morgan having the year off to spend more time at the salarium. I realise these blokes are not all stars, but have the Saints lost their depth?

I think Tim Ring is still loitering around star bar or kfc stealing chicks heels. Juddy looked sharp last night after another big year in the summer game as does joxy. Tony Ring hasn't missed a beat on the track and Disco Farley has headed back to Thailand to try and find his shit before saddling up with Wychy.

Kingy and Sonny are down in serp town and bryden morgan is now known as morgan freeman he's that dark. MORGAN FREEMAN a massive chance to be the complete opposite of what he is on a sat night again this season........ A saint..:thumbsu:

Yep without doubt. They are gone for all money, wooden spoon for me:D

The HDFL All Stars would certainly have given the BFL all stars a run for there money with the quality of players in the league anyone prepared to pick a HDFL best of side for 2009 and see how it looks on paper

Word on the street is that the Colbo cricketers have made it thru to a not so familiar grand final appearance in the summer game. Best of luck lads, pretty rare to snag the footy/cricket senior flag double Id say so make the most of it - is it true though that after finishing higher on ladder Colbo has to travel to Raywood for the final???

How does that work

Spoke with young Kingy in Kilmore last week and he said he would be playing at Golden Square

ROUND 1: April 18th
Elmore v Mt Pleasant
White Hills v LBU
Huntly v Heathcote
Colbinabbin v Nth Bendigo
ROUND 2: April 25th
Nth Bendigo v Huntly
Mt Pleasant v Colbinabbin
LBU v Elmore
Heathcote v White Hills
ROUND 3: May 2nd
Elmore v Heathcote
White Hills v Nth Bendigo
Huntly v Colbinabbin
LBU v Mt Pleasant
ROUND 4: May 9th
Nth Bendigo v Elmore
Colbinabbin v White Hills
Mt Pleasant v Huntly
Heathcote v LBU

Looking at the first 4 rounds of the year there are some very interesting match ups and a couple of clubs come round 4 could possibly not have a win on the board.
Depending on how Nth Bendigo come up, which at present you have to say they are looking dangerous, Elmore could be zero and 4 after 4 rounds, Colbo could be 2 and 2, Mts & could be 3 and 1 or 1 and 3 and LBU could be the same. Heathcote look likely to be 3 and 1 or if travelling very well 4 and zip.
Very hard to pick early season form but with 16 rounds all teams have to win the early ones as it will affect ladder position later in the year with a poor start

Its going to be a very close thing for final spots with 16 rounds and early season form may get you a finals spot if clubs have injury and issues.

At present I think White Hills and Huntly are the 2 that probably wont make it so 6 teams vying for 4 spots. Should be very interesting year

I see Tommy Tobin is looking much more aerodynamic this year, no flowing locks.

I would never discount the bloods this late in the pre season... This is not much but the touch up they gave stathfieldsaye on saturday whilst missing/resting key players is an early indication that aggots grant will have them firing come round 1. They have kept most of the boys less schubert, hayes but have recruited well and will definately have depth, something they didnt have last year.
my hdfl team of the year
............ brian westley ricky joyce
............ leigh davies daniel anderson
pat obrian tony baker ben johnston
cam cail(c) grant weeks shane davis
nick knight aaron james adrian dohnt

lech featherstone, andy grant, ian kay, ............

bench - bongiovanni, ..............., trevor douglas, al meldrum
coach - miller

few holes to fill there. posssibly huntly and north suggestions??
