with the new freeway now working doesnt take much more to get to the outskirts of Melbourne:D

if you just work on location and being a workable distance from the existing clubs, who ever it is should be embraced. The league works better with a bye and 9 teams. 2 teams playing same matches 3 times this year isnt an equal playing ground depending on who you cop.

as stated anyone know?

Broadford :D

anyone else heard about the possability that leichy/gunny are trying to get into the hdfl next year. half of there side is from echuca. and im pretty sure balranald wouldn't be to upset. is there any chance that united would be interested acky, would make for a lot more competative games for them.

It is true we are not travelling that well at united Dance old mate , but when asked to move to a re-invented Echuca football league a couple of years ago they showed no interest . And not a lot has changed I would imagine, but I've been wrong before .

What about Harcourt ?

If Harcourt leaves MCDFL, leaves room for Natte Bealiba to come into MCDFL, both leagues win?

Stanhope another possibility?

Either option would beat driving to Leitchville I reckon.

Leitchville/Gunbower?

Backward step trying to bring in Leitchville/Gunbower if it's true.the powers to b and the V.C.F.L should b looking at combining the H.D.F.L & L.V.F.L and have a 1st & 2nd Div, i would think this would bring the standered up to the B.F.L,This is my thoughts but everybody to their own

wouldnt work. for starters you would need to bring in a proper above-board salary cap. Bridgewater, marong, newbridge wouldnt afford it and the difference in standard would only be the Heathcote teams bar Pyramid, Calivil and maybe Miti in div one? Huntly would make the five in LVFL just about. Leitchville is only 108km from Bendigo, you do it once a year like we did for Broady so it would be a good old fashioned bus trip that im sure EVERY player would enjoy......

having recently been involved at club level in both leagues i find that statment plain stupid.

You mean to tell me that LVFL would seriously be close standard to HDFL? Your obviously confused mate. As i said, LVFL clubs couldnt compete with the money spent. And I too know All about LVFL mate and know that Huntly would match it with Marong and Newbridge..... It could work with salary cap but teams have always found ways to go around that.......

It's not stupid. Marong are 5th in the LVFL and a lot of their senoir side are recent HDFL 2's players. Not kicking Marong, LVFL or HDFL twos, but a Huntly v Marong game would be interesting.

Clap Clap:thumbsu: At least someone on here hasn't got their head in their ass! Huntly would beat Marong I'd think by 4 goals at least. Big drop in depth and standard these days

a lot would mean half the side and recent would be the last 2 years.name them.by the way josh hogan has been one of huntlys better players this year.struggled to get a game in newbridge side last year that came 2nd last

I went out and watched the game today, and i find that statement dead set dumb. How can you say that? Mounts lost by 3 goals and were in it all day.
Have a look at where the two sides are on the ladder 6th V's 2nd, if you ask me the saints got out of jail today.

Went fishing i thought i would catch MtMen but i got u sloth,i don't think H/Cote got out of jail they were in front all day with a few blokes of the their game it shows they are a good side, give credit to Mounts they have inproved from our first meeting they do have somethink to work with for next year:thumbsu:

Independant assessment. Saints have a lot of work to do. Had blokes down because of the pressure applied. Looked good when out on their own but struggled when things were in tight i thought. Mounts are a fair way off remember. Dissapointing for Mts to lose Davis during warm too. Could of made a difference. From the games seen in past
4-5 weeks Colbo & Elmore way ahead of Saints & LBU. Waters will provide Saints with an improved side leading into finals though. Looking forward to a good finals series.
