Not sure if has been mentioned but should be well known that White Hills have recruited Brendon 'Moose" McCreddin from Malle side Beulah. Has spent a bit of time at Preston when they were in VFL and won a couple flags back home with beulah. Fairly athletic player and will be farly hard to match up on if he hits his straps. Must be 29-30 yr old so could stil offer some good footy.

Like ya work there beard, been a while between HDFL posts. Finally got u to call in for a look at Harley Hammond Reserve on Monday, hope the numbers were enough for you to get keen and jump onboard as soon as you're back to work down here.

although brown has signed at mounts he is still no certainty of playing there as he is going to have a run with keilor also plus his ankle might not hold up anyway

seeing that charlie isnt coaching calivil does this mean that he will be playing for white hills now as he had been talking to them or will he give it away like he says every year

i think a few of the boys have met this mccreddin bloke and he is signed, as of last week, so square might be second in line. is that the info from square training ablett???

Anyone got any news on how lockington r shaping up for 07, what happened to the rumour re Byrnes and newth heading to the bloods.

Has everyone started pre season training yet and how r numbers on the track going?

LBU had there first training run tonight tilt, threre was about 20-25 train. 3 or 4 new young faces there which is always good to see. Not sure how the cats will go this year though, with no big signings and the loss of a number of players, ie Dobson (Noosa), Pritchett(Cohuna) Palmer(Rochester) and now with Neil (Hoppy) Hopkins coaching the Mitiamo magoos there could be a few more departures from the cattery!:(

did he train last nite?

Lockington dropped a league and are still as bad as they were, whats going on up there??
I believe locky made the finals in their first year in the bfl after coming out of the old northern and echuca league with close to the same side that got them to i kick of winning the gf in that league, it was only whe nthey spent up and appointed fairley did things go down hill, their juniors were playing in a different comp and i believe they found they were losing plenty of their talented juniors to other clubs because of this

Apart from delaying the start of the season by two weeks has the league made any alternative plans for the season if grounds don’t come up.

I assume that Elmore, Colbinabbin, Broadford and White Hills(with the water from the new pipeline) will be ok.

But what about North Bendigo, Huntly, LBU, Mount Pleasant and Heathcote will their grounds be up and ready to go

A farmer donated 10 megs to LBU's ground last week, so it will be in tip top shape Pica for round 1.:thumbsu:

Didn't LBU have a major ******** up in their appointment of a Senior Coach a few years back. A bloke from up Kerang way - Morton (maybe). Heard he was pretty woeful and caused a lot of angst at the club. Talked himself way up and then couldnt deliver the goods.

Just flicking thru the HDFL website and Im 99.9% confident that it was Daryl and not Desy Gilmore that won the comp goalkicking in the early 90's. Also the E. Egan attributed to Colbo in the mid 70's was in fact Wayne Egan . . .
