Fair suck of the sauce bottle Doona. Ever taken an impartial view when the Umpies verdict is not going the way the Broadford supporters think it should be going? Especially at Broadford? I'm pretty sure the Big Ump said that the standard of umpiring was poor for both sides on the week end.

You read it correctlyRWB.....
I think Doona needs glasses.Maybe he should have been at H/Cote on Saturday. Make sure u r well prepared for W/hills because u might just get a shock:)

Geez lads I thought ya's could take a light hearted joke  What do we do the standard has been up and down agreed but we're wrooted without the umps so u just gota cop it, either that or more former greats of the HDFL stand up and be counted and throw the white gear on!!!

Wok will back me up, we have been on the positive ledger 4 out of 7 games with the umps, and whilst the Broadford crowd can carry on at times no matter how good or bad they are, me and the players understand that collectively (me included) we make a lot more mistakes in 100 minutes on a Satdy than the umps do . . . . missed shots at goal, turnovers, 2nd to the pill, unaccountable for a man, 1st option, centre to a 2 on 1 etc etc,

Just testing the water to see if you'd bite back:thumbsu:

I see a couple of new names bound for Onion Grass Park on the transfers list. Looks like it will be cold showers in the Toolleen Detention Centre cum visitors rooms on Saturday for the Colbo boys, with no extra cash to spend on amenities anymore. Or maybe they'll be kind enough to open up their changerooms on what is shaping up to be a cold wintery day.

Boo hoo yeah nearly as bad as the cheating locky umpire that used to umpire lockington reserves games a few years ago, the young bloke with glasses you know the one. Whats worse, cheating home umpires or shabby changerooms?

you are kidding yourself if you include players like kortum and your current thirds team in premiership calculations. Lockington are a joke. Although their weekend result is impressive beating huntly by a massive 33 points ? and their only other win was against north in round 2 by 45 points ? looks like a team going places can i get 100 on them for the flag ?

maybe you should read things properly before you start typing shit. i said those players will be important players for the cats in the next 3years. how many teams have 15players under 21 who have played seniors? and 10 of who would get a game for any team in the league. in 3 years those boys will be experienced footballers at their peak, having 15 quality 21-25 year olds in your team will win you a flag. most guys hit there peak around 24-25. and with players such as dobson, ireland,suffolk,simsx2,andrews. who will be in their late 20's,and the martin boys in early 30s. that is a lot of experience. and like usual there will be the 5 or so recruits each year. a team like that will be successful, and if you cant see that you dont know much about footy. and to say that including current 3rds players in premiership calculations is a joke then u do know nothing about football. those 3rds players will be 20 in 3 years. and there is half a dozen of them who will push seniors next year. so u think 18 year olds dont play in premiership sides??? i cant wait to come back to this post and say "i told u so".

who are your 10 under 21 players that would start for colbo (the current top side), and who would they replace in their 22 ? if these guys are so good then why havent you beaten anyone this year ? the fact that 6 of your thirds would play in your senior team in 12 months is not something to brag about. heathcote have 1 player from their thirds side last year that plays in the seniors (pat ring), and from their u/17 premiership team of 2005, 3 of them played seniors on the weekend. (condon, jacques, pat ring). a team which will play 6 18 year olds every game will probably struggle.

heres colbos team from last game too incase you dont know who plays for them

Two weeks ago against Heathcote we had nine players who had played nine players in the seniors who played under 17's dating back to 2004 and one or two others who would be in contention on the sidelines or in the magoos. It's not the number kids that makes sides struggle, it's the older heads around and the guidance the kids are given through the games from the experienced players that makes sides succeed or fail.

Would agree Doon. In my younger days I was an umpire basher, but have changed my view as the teeth get longer and can now say they have very little outcome in games. People remember decisions that were missed instead of an erratic kick into the forward that sailed over the forwards head in the dying minutes of the game that could have secured victory.

GET OFF THEIR BACKS. ALL THAT CAN BE ASKED IS THAT THEIR POSITIONING AROUND THE CONTEST BE CORRECT.:thumbsu:

I am back, bigfooty issues but well after some time they got me back on.

Is bluey southcombe using excuses when he always uses the "whos out" and "some bad luck" . Can someone tell us who was out of the elmore and for that matter colby sides and what is that players importance to the side. Lets face it, if you recruit using big money , you get individuals and and thus cant win a team sport.

From what I could see at the game,
Colbo outs:

Matt Pinniger, Ben Johnstone, Blair McCormack, Tim Hill, Tim Croft.
Luke Hill and Darcy Gorman Injured early and missed most!

Elmore: Not sure!

Cheers!

Not happy with the reponses there Nev, so thought you'd start another thread about big Nort. Don't get me wrong, the man has been a great servant to Mounts and the League, but is there any real need to start another wasted thread there Champ?
Fair go...just new to this...give me a break !!

Farvas getting frustrated...
for the 3rd time,im not talking about this year. im talking in years to come. as for the players to get a game for colbo i came up with smit, randall, bongianni, obrien, main and possibly baldwin, ferrier and hageman. all but one(obrien) is now out injured. randall(knee) smit(ankle)bongianni(elbow)main(leg)baldwin(ribs)hageman(knee). this may give you some insight into why locky is not performing 2 well at present. do not know colbos line up well enough to say who would go out for these players though. farva was being hasty saying 10. 5 is good for the top team though.

off this topic now, who will locky put on hayes?? randall, baldwin, main wouldve been top choices but wont be playing. adam sims may be the go. quick enough and strong enough, will need andrews to help out with the hieght though. if hayes was dominating roo byrne would have to go to him, but i wouldnt sacrifice him unless i had to. any thoughts?

havent seen many hdfl games this year but in all honesty dont go bagging the bendigo umpires until yous get up and watch goulburn valley mate worst umpires i have ever seen and supposed to be one of the best comps in vic absolutely shocking

You will need midfield pressure Farva. If your midfield gets flogged you could have anyone down there and it won't make too much difference

roo byrne was quiet. think he felt guilty all game after kicking a bloke in the arm. any huntly guys know what the verdict was with that arm?? putting it out there,

If you watched the footy Farva and stayed away from the bar you would if realised he came back on to play.

Fabio Sims must goto Hayes, only one that could match him with strength, pace and over head. If he is un successful they will try Dan "definately best bloke at the club" Andrews. No way (if they were playing) could Main or Baldwin play on him, to small and not strong enough. Maybe Randall could of went with him, we'll never know.

If Locky are going to play finals this year they must beat Elmore or mounts in the next 2 weeks.

Anyone got the odds for the games on the weekend, might try to make some cash because the TAB hasnt been kind to me, thanks to Utility.
