Before you start slagging me off Daniel, be very careful of your facts, i may know more than you think. Wes bell handing his pay back - the only way he would have done that was coz his old man made him... He played plenty of shocking games and i don't think he EVER deserved $400 a game that year!! And manly was far more influential all year than Bell, end of story.

Now lets stop bagging these guys who won't get us anywhere in 08 anyway...

FYI - AGM - about 30 people turned up - a new president was elected along with all other positions. Will be a pretty steep learning curve early on i would expect... But good people in the right jobs should make for a good year OFF the field.

Mate you started slagging me. I recall you calling me a Idiot.. End of story?? Am I not entitled to my own opinion??? I never said he was worth $400 a game what I said was he was far more consistent than people make out.. Yes he didn't live up to his name but he didn't go around slagging his own players like a big kicking forward either Bell was far more team oriented!!!! Tell me then who is worth the money Huntly paid out in 06/07 cos no one springs to mind!!!!

huntly08, were there many players there or just non-playing folk at the AGM? And who were the new executive?

Barry, my comment was more why would anyone go to Mitiamo to play footy? I suppose if guys leave clubs, the clubs are better off without them anyway. No dedication to the club in tough times, means they don't deserve to enjoy the good times, and I am sure the HFNC and other struggling clubs will enjoy some good times with some hard work.

Anthony Baker has signed as Ass Coach, the only one to put pen to paper at this stage. Luke Jones is heading to Perth for 12 months. I think pace to freeze is getting a bit excited with all these players he's talking about, have spoken to a few as each club does this time of year but they are far from being sighned. A better run with injury, some good kids coming threw and maybe sign a couple more hopefully we might be able to play finals again!!!:thumbsu:

Andy was a no show Im told, and BMG is weighing up several offers :eek: has any other clubs got going yet, or just had the old 'meet the coach' session?

I drove past the ground at about six o'clock monday and did'nt see anyone training, did they have a run some where else?

We went for a light run monday night mate. About a dozen rocked up. Will do that each monday until Xmas with "Smally Mac" taking boxing sessions on a thursday night.:thumbsu:

also heard white hills did a 10k run on Monday night. and nth bendigo started training this week too. any other new names turn up other than Webb and friends??

Top job went to Gav Rule, supported by Mick Talbot and Rick Cowling, with 1 more position still to be announced.
 
and all the players that attended got through the apparent "10km" run, thats either pleasing or it wasnt quite 10 km like you have mentioned, country footy

Congratulations to Gavin, Mick and Rick on their appointments. Heart and soul Huntly FNC people and all with strong links to the junior football club. Should make for a terrific working relationship between the two clubs, something the old Fantom may have been a tad critical of in the past.:D:D
