Doona, your still playing.. Let's hope for everyones sake they have lost 1 or 2. Let's not forget the margin they won the flag by. Elmore still definitely the bench mark...

I'd like to wish all the best and a speedy recovery to Gezza Ring, Juddy Hancock (shoulders) and Steve earl (knee) who all went down in the first fifteen minutes of the 2's game. All have had solid pre seasons, so is a bitter blow to the boys and the club..:thumbsu:

On the left is off to anger management classes this week for his new record of fifties given. Welcome back coxy, who nearly had a heart attack before he ran out in the later game:D However he was extremely well behaved later on in the night, so that's a start for spud jr i spose.

RWB, where was your intellectual partner on the weekend, praying for the tiges? Ump you'd better make it to elmore as the BFG may be along.:D
Iam back, been away working?Had a chance a couple of times to read Big Footy i must say at one stage i thought Hagansbull was on the wrong forum he really went of with the birds what was the go their RWB.

Don't know where the imbecile was but I will tell you this, if Big Footy Girl is going to the footy this week, just try and keep me away!! On the Left made a stupid statement when he was on his thirteenth can early in the night and that was he won't give away that many fifties for the rest of the year. Yeah right!

I reakon I had 5 cans for the day.....headland! It was one of my lowest days in my short but sucessful career! I regret the whole day in fact! Anyway I have apologised to coxy. I just hope I can redeem myself for the rest of the year. Streaker, I am always well behaved at the disco's....cant say the same about my coach though. There was a little bit or role reversal that night between me and him!

Great win by the twos on Saturday. Especially having a few guys out.

Not so great for the ones although was a good game and if the game went for a bit longer we probably could have pinched it. Midfield was well down, given that most of them are over 30 maybe the sun knocked em around to much!

Elmore kicked 8 to 2 in the second half!! wouldnt you think if the game went any longer it would of been a blow out elmores way.
What happend to MtMens midfield the best in the league? Oh no thats wright it was very sunny!!!!!

They had 11 guys run out initially

Yeah they pulled a few young blokes in to play. Interesting to hear that they were short on the back of last years success in the 1's. Would have thought there may have been a few more come out of the woodwork for a game. Could be a long year for the Elmore 2's. Probably

From what I saw, both teams were missing a few players so both will only get better. Mounts ran out of legs as I think they had some serious injuries early and had maybe 1 left on the bench in the first quarter. Elmore looked to Hayes for nearly every forward attack but why wouldn't you, took some great pack marks. He was the difference between the teams, I think Elmore will be praying he doesn't get injured
Will be a good game to watch between Elmore and Heatcote, does any team have a big enough back line to contain, Meldrum, Featherstone, Waters and Chapman. Throw in there crumbers who are kicking goals and they will be very hard to beat on a dry day.

Did they all play up the forward line together on sat? I just dont see how, out of 6 forwards, 4 would be "big" guys. RWB is the plan to have them all play up forward or Al at CHB and Lech rotating through the ruck? The Hcote backline seems their weakness.

Doona, any more clearances going to go through this week?

4 out of 6 are big guys. Its going to be nice to see how they all operate this week with waters returning from injury. Id like to congratulate Slim on getting married on the weekend up in Queensland too.Aparently his problem groin has heeled after all the attention it received after the w/end. He should be up for a big game I dare say.

Elmore cant afford any injuries let alone just Ryan Hayes. If they only had 11 run out on Sat in the magoos They wont have alot to pick from.

Who in the Heathcote backline can you mention that would justify that statement?

Young lad in Jacques who kicked 7 last week looks a player. From memory kicked 4-5 handy goals v Mounts in last years final at Elmore. With the likes of Chapman, Waters, Featherstone & Meldrum requiring attention, seems a full compliment of backmen will be required. How old is he?

I would have thought our backline was one of our strengths to be honest. Jonny Jess is as fit as ten men and throw in the Carroll boys, Middleton, Travaglia, Harman and Thompson...I don't think that looks too bad! In regards to the big boys up forward, don't forget that Lech is very, very mobile for his size as is Chappy. If all four were to play forward, i don't think there would be too many problems and if there were, the bench would sort it out.:thumbsu:

Brent is only 19 or so and rejected an offer to go to Mounts this year. makes the most of his opportunities around the goal mouth and looks like he will definitely be a regular this year.

Heard on the Grapevine big bustling Billy Brownless will be heading to Lockington to Spin the Wheel....any truth to the rumour locky boys??

Have heard the same. prob started by your friend TENN, I'm not sure its true or wether its a ploy to get to footy training. Have heard the great man Fridge will be doing the spinning if it is true, only problem there is that in all the excitement the fridge will prob have to many of Keithys finest and may struggle to spin it. Nesko will be there so look for the ugly guy out the side, that'll be farva (Nesko will be next to him).

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed but there was a past LBU player at the huntly game with sunnies, hat and hoodie on. May be looking to try kick start his career after his not so good year last year. Would dominate at FF if his age doesnt catch up with him....
