I think with SC they are including emergencies for people that havnt played yet and will remove those emergencie scores when the people play

Yeah they are, I'm on 1508 with 8 players to go: Koschitzke, H. Shaw, Waters, Goodes, Ball, Cox, Lynch & Riewoldt. If they all get their average it would be around the 2200 - 2300 mark.

On the SC site it says 1800. My bench scored big on the weekend!

Brown and Black were very disappointing

I just looked up my SC team and saw that my current weekly raking is 2nd :D. Pity that the round is only 2/3 the way through. My current score is 2303 and I still have Gram and Foley to play but my reserves of J W Smith and L Thomas scores (74 & 62) count atm so I'm not likely to improve by much.

You can't really take a lot out of the round so far. I've moved up from 8th to 4th, but I've really scored 1730 so far not the 1889 it's got me as. It's added Gibbs & Gray's score since they were emergency's.

Still got 7 to go and looking for around 2400 again, which will hopefully keep me in the top 10.

Yeah - wish we could end the round right now. I have gone from 163rd to 18th lol, so yes scores and rankings are a bit pointless this week.

Cheers

Finally, someone who has some sense in them.
I cant believe so many people are comparing scores already?! The round isn't over yet. Who cares what score you're on so far? It doesnt matter.

I'm going to enjoy the moment while it lasts. This is my first year playing SC and I've never ranked this highly on weekly or overall scores in either DT or SC. Although if I actually finished 2nd for the round (which I know I won't) I'd be disappointed as I just missed out on the weekly prize.

Wouldn't mind some opinions on upgrade priority for my weaknesses. Currently my order of priority is as follows:

1. Andrew Walker (1 month shoulder injury shot him up the list despite great form of late)
2. Marc Murphy (starting to hit some form, but close to peaking in price and not sure if I can trust his consistency)
3. Brendan Fevola (needs to average 4 goals a game to be getting the 90+ scores I want from him)
4. Corey Jones (worried about his consistency playing deeper in the forward line and the Kangaroos are likely to tail off in the second half of the season)
5. Grant Birchall (wary of the Sydney-factor in Round 22 - I want to win the Grand Final and my biggest rival is likely to hold onto him)

Anybody got a different spin on things? Thanks in advance :)

With 1AW looking like being out for a month or better i think i'll trade him. I have enough money to get any of the backs so who should i go for?

The rest of my backline is Gilbee, Cornes, H.Shaw, McPhee, Birchall and B.Jones.

there is no fuken sydney factor.. y doo ppl keep saying this shit dustin fletcher got like 177 or somthin similar

There is a Sydney factor in Dream Team, it does not affect SC scores as much. People notice this in DT and sometimes assume it applies to SC as well.

It would still apply to SC to an extent because teams are getting less of the ball and consequently in a reduced position to score points.

Of course there are going to be high scores by individuals against Sydney. I don't think anybody is questioning that.

However, if a team is getting less of the ball, the chances of a playing meeting his usual output is reduced proportionately. Overall, the team is scoring less in total, regardless of how you cut it.

Naturally elite players are less likely to be effected.

Also, maybe it isn't so much a "Sydney factor", but a "good team factor". I bet average scores are down agaisnt West Coast too.

Obviously it would be nice to get some stats to back all of this up. Quoting an individual or even a handful of high scores against Sydney doesn't cut it. Its all about the total points conceded against the average...

yeh u make good points.. but i dnt think sydney as a team reduce oppostion players scores as a result..

more of a good team factor like u said not just sydney

I'm not sure how to confirm this but I believe that each game is awarded proportionate points in SC. So, if the straight scores are lower than average in a game they would be adjusted upwards. This may explain why someone like Jolly can have 9 possies, 5 hitouts to advantage and score 130 sometimes??

That is incorrect.

A game like the one you describe will be because of two things:
1. High effectiveness
2. Possessions/goals at key points in the game deemed to be of greater importance (and weighted more highly)
