Since I made the last thread in June 2015, we've broken the following hoodoos:

Beat Geelong
Beat Collingwood
Win at Etihad (Sorta doesn't count since it was GWS we beat, but anyway)
Win in QLD
Have a player kick over 5 in a game (Hogan 7 against the Saints)
Win by 60+
Win two in a row

Decided to make a thread for the rest of the year, as no point including stuff like the North streak as we have to wait until 2017 to have another crack at them.

Why doesn't beating gws at etihad really count?

I went with the saints as it's our next match and the most likely in my opinion. If we lose I don't think we'll break another hoodoo this year.

We won't make finals, Hawthorn will probably pull a Hawthorn on us and win in the last minute, west coast at domain forget it yeah, port in Adelaide I actually don't mind, still have nightmares of grimes kicking it out on the full.

I voted for every option. Ill be surprised if we dont knock them all over plus 4 AFL records on the way home:

Highest score in a game
Most goals by a player in a season
Most goals by a player in a game

and in typical Melbourne fashion (breaking our own record)... biggest loss in a game.

After that, first team to win the flag from 8th also.

Strap yourselves in people, its going to be a hell of a ride.

If we win next week we’re a huge chance to get on a big roll IMO. Dogs, Pies, Port, Saints, Dockers, Dogs. I think we match up very well on Port. Queen’s Birthday will be a huge test, the Pies match up well on us and they’re going very nicely.

We did last year. From memory beat Gold Coast, Collingwood, Bulldogs, West Coast. Then the wheels fell off.
