If the Blues finally decide to play footy again this season they should put the nail in the Hawks season next week. Giants played for about 30 mins today and still beat them

I'm hearing that was the biggest Q4 comeback in GWS history. Those 8 points we took from them without any hassle might be what killed their season. Oh well.

Key to beating the Hawks is having incredible hamstring and lower back flexibility. With Ginnivan, Watson and Moore dropping to the floor like a snipers shot them every time they get the ball inside 50 you need to get seriously low with your tackles.

Been playing out of their skin for many weeks - can’t win them all. Young teams do that when managing a game. Could see them wining the last three with Carlton a little wobbly

I thought they we looked a little tired in the 4th and it released the pressure. GWS had very little run and carry for the first 3 quarters and nothing but that in the last. You can't give a good team breathing space like that, they'll work themselves right back into the contest and then ride the momentum, which is exactly what you did.
Game could have had a very different complexion if the Giants had kicked straight in the first 10 minutes though, scoreboard pressure has a real impact.

Hawks average age was almost a full year older than GWS. They were only the 8th youngest side for the weekend with GWS, North, Gold Coast, West Coast, Fremantle, Essendon and Adelaide all younger than Hawthorn this week.
They're a good team and they could do damage if they sneak into finals. But the change from the start of the year has been getting continuity and form into their experienced players meaning they're no longer the extremely young side they were early in the year.
