How many friends your age have passed on?

I'm 31 at the moment and only one person around my age group passed away, it was just around the first year of high school and one of the kids I went to primary school with grew up with leukemia. Really sucks he didn't get to live that long and now I've lived almost three times longer than he ever got the chance to.

Too ****ing many. All in my close circle of friends, you think there was something wrong with our group but no all middle to upper class, seemed stable, good jobs, great families but mental demons and the black dog caught them. Yeah alcohol and drugs were used but not in abusive ways more recreational.

Seven all up, 5 suicides and two car crashes in 7 odd years. I'm early 40s and the suicides screwed me and my surviving mates up. It's too young and still with mental health emerging as a serious issue, it's still seen as weakness among young or middle age men. I'm out of ideas for solutions.

If any West Aussies remember an incident last year where 3 aboriginal brothers and their cousin stole a car and crashed it in Pinjarra? Matthew was an old mate from primary school.
