How many Melbourne players would get a game at any other club?

AFL Club
Carlton
I don't think a single player could get a game at any other club in the AFL. Actually, I think a fair few of them would even struggle at VFL level. While no-one can question that they are trying their hardest each week there is not a single player that I would be excited about having if they joined my club. In the history of the AFL has their ever been team with such little talent? Fremantle might be a joke but they have Pavlich and the clanger king Rhys Palmer who may turn out good. The Eagles are a disgrace but Cox is a superstar. Honestly, what good players do Melbourne have? I couldnt even think of one worth listing. Has there ever been a club in worse shape than Melbourne in 2008? With draft concessions almost certainly ruining the draft for the next 5+ years its going to be tough times ahead Melbourne. I predict they will add another 5 spoons to their already massive collection.

When I saw the thread title I assumed that it was started by a Cats fan.

Well imagine my shock to see that it was started by a Carltank supporter.

Thank for the laugh, douche_missile.

Why would a cats fan start it? We have no interest in Carlton or Melbourne, they're both teams we won't have to worry about in September.

Nathan Jones wouldnt be close.

Most overrated player in the league. He's a centreman who gets 10 kicks a game with very good TOG. 1 dimensional, slow and he has gay tattoos.

Agreed. This post fails epically, just like the Carlton Football Club.

I will now start a similair thread that will get a minimum of 10 times more replies than this rubbish.

Feel free to join me.
Of course it would.

That thread would be about Carlton - everyone wants to talk about Carlton.

No one gives a rat's about Melbourne.

KM - this thread of yours is like a three-legged dog-race.

It's not done well, but one is surprised to find that it is done at all.

Now Super_Phaser, I have a question to ask you objectively: how would you rate Carlton's three ruckmen: Cain Ackland, Kreuzer and Cameron Cloke?

Please rank them in order of talent with a few choice comments.

Biffinator.

lol what a silly thread.

Whilst obviously looking for a bit of a fish, the original poster knows as well as most people that there's lots of Dees players that'd get games at other clubs.

If you had to make a team out of all the carlton and melbourne listed players, close to half (maybe more) would be dees players.

Comrade.

An excellent question, and one which Carlton fans I am sure will be keen to hear my thoughts on.

Ranking them is hard, as all three are lucky to be playing AFL at all.

But here we go -

1) Cain Ackland - woeful footballer, but at Carlton that wins you Best and Fairests (see Teague, Carazzo, Whitnall). Could find himself on the Honour Board before his career is over.

2) Cameron Cloke - has one strength, and that is his massive backside which enables him to push oppositon players aside as they bounce of his well rounded rump. However once he gets rid of his opponent, he is sure to spill the mark, undoing all the good work done by his impressive physical asset.

3) Matthew Kreuzer - a bloke taken at pick 1 who should have gone in the 60's or 70's, but realistically should not have been picked at all. VFL standard footballer, if that. Should give the game away and find work as a Lloyd Christmas lookalike.

Some spot on assessments there.

Yet amazingly their actual future ruckman Shaun Hampson is worse than all 3.
