Pretty certain our "recruits" in McKenzie and Brown will compensate for a fit Hawkins!I agree. But I do think with a fit Hawkins they should improve significantly. Only one of those three recruits will make a notable difference however.

Dexter is back.Just finished doing some extensive analysis using the latest statistical software and I am now confident it will be somewhere between 0 and 25 wins next year. So that should situate us somewhere between 1st and 18th on the ladder.
Edit: Somehow The West Australian came across my post and have offered me a job as their chief statistician. Said I had more insight and accuracy than their current person.
Just wanted to say your AVI is Godlike.Four losses.
One to Hawthorn, one to the Dockers and two to soft losses because we played shit.

Reckon we will take the cats, not sure on thier hype train at the moment. Hawkings borderline smashed us this year, but I think we will improve on that with eMac.
Also think we can take care of Sydney.
My 'certain' losses for the coming season are Geelong away, port away and Hawthorn away. Every other game is fair game imo.Reckon we will take the cats, not sure on thier hype train at the moment. Hawkings borderline smashed us this year, but I think we will improve on that with eMac.

Two words......Danger Field.I am still yet to hear a good reason why Geelong will rocket up the ladder next year
Adelaide weren't exactly a powerhouse with him this year and I rate their playing list higher than Geelong's.Two words......Danger Field.
Not convinced myself either, but he's probably the reason why people think that Geelong will be huge risers next year. He might help them get into the top 8 (6th-8th), but that's probably it.Adelaide weren't exactly a powerhouse with him this year and I rate their playing list higher than Geelong's.
Agree, certainly don't see them getting back to their powerhouse..Carlton went from 15th to 11th when Judd joined them? Not convinced myself either, but he's probably the reason why people think that Geelong will be huge risers next year. Agree with most of what others have written here but I am not going to underestimate Geelong. This year they had a lot of good players who weren't up to their normal standards (injuries, form slumps etc). Obviously some of that is because many of their "stars" are ageing but if even a few of them get back to usual I think they'll be a heap more competitive than they were in 2015. They also have a relatively easy draw so they are in a good position to go upwards on the ladder. We were 9th in '14 and 2nd in '15 so we shouldn't presume other teams can't bolt similarly. Geelong were 10th and I think they could push for top 4 if they are at their best. More likely a couple of spots outside the 4 but we'll almost certainly be seeing them come finals time next season. That is how I see it.
Dangerfield probally had his best year this year. He is good in bursts and like NicNat brings his team mates into it by being a contested beast.
He doesn't kick a lot of goals. Not many clean I50's to Tex or Jenkins etc.
Isn't great defensively. Unlike others he has no poise or much of a left foot. (think Mitchell, Pendlebury, Beams etc.) Even Sheed and Duggan are ahead of him in that reguard.
Geelong already have Joel, Caddy and even Scooter for all these attributes. Their best users are Bartel, Duncan and Motlop.
Plus they have no forwards other than Hawkins who struggles to kick 50 a year.
Ohh and the have a Scott. lol.
Duncan IN is one of the main reasons i think they'll improve, but I don't think they'll make top 4 either.Agree with most of what others have written here but I am not going to underestimate Geelong. Selwood was only playing poorly due to his ankle injury. He'll be a gun for themI am still yet to hear a good reason why Geelong will rocket up the ladder next year
