We are screaming for a player like Davis. Johnstone plays good at Subi, and would relish playing as the third or fourth banana. High draft pick. Would be an awesome trade for us.
Given the way Carlton has acted since Judd chose them, I would love nothing more than for him to go to their most hated club.
Too bad this trade won't happen though.

It won't happen but historically clubs rate players depending on how they have played against them. Davis has towelled up WC on a number of occurences.

4, 9 & TJ is a very compelling banker / fallback.

Well I seriously hope that Melb, WC and Judd have an open phone line over the next day or two. If Carlton play overly silly buggers with 1 & 3 I would love that deal to happen.

Players can't be traded twice in the same year. AFL says not allowed.

Well it can be avoided, just use lopsided trades
Reid to Melbourne for pick 4
Davis, pick 4 and pick 14 to WC for Judd
Johnstone to WC for pick 14
That way it is pick 14 that is used twice instead of Johnstone, clubs just sign that they will complete the second and third trade after the first one is done. It doesn't make it true but it can happen, it was how Jono Hay got to the Roos.
