interesting mail there switch i'll be sure to keep an eye out for him to confirm your statement. Be good if he does although not sure if North will clear him to Jindera particulary after last season.
Even though Mackie crossed over to Albury this year wouldnt North have to clear him so he could play in the O and M? Otherwise Matt can have a run under Robbie and Raiders will have him for next year.:thumbsu:

hate to tell all u guys...but holbrook are clearly the best team by far...in 1sts, 2nd, 3rds and 4ths..PREMIERS 09

i wonder wat happened with matt murray? he apprantly was goin to play at 3 clubs. i dont think you can ever say someone is playing somewhere till they are on the ground.

another thing i think all these self promoted experts have written off bb saint to early in the year. yes they got beaten but look at last years score 6 goals is better than 20. . . how do you expect a side that has 8 new players in it that have never played together before with that side to just click after 3 games and beat a top 3 side.....?

Well i must say, Lockhart are looking to be a top 3 finish this yr. After playing against them on the weekend, i've never seen a side move the ball so well. They're looking good. Travel in numbers, fast side, fit, attack hard, etc.

We (BB Saints) lost our first match due to their (Lockhart) Pressure. Put pressure on ourselves and caused turnovers. Never backed up and just failed to read the play. Which is a shame because we've got ourselves a good side this yr. But we didnt put our ability to the test. We simply had a bad day.

But im sure we'll bounce back against Walla this week. The boys seem keen and hungry to win this game. Still, should be a good game.

How did everyone else go in the round?

Dont u think that a statement like this:
"i've never seen a side move the ball so well"
has got a lot to do with a statement like this:
"Put pressure on ourselves and caused turnovers. Never backed up and just failed to read the play"
Id be waiting til u guys play every side before ya start makin silly comments like the first one ive highlight. Oh, and one more thing, to avoid having to put up a statement like this:
"we didnt put our ability to the test"
id simply say, less time on big footy more time out on the trainin track.
All the best for the remainder of the year tho, good to see BB moving in the right direction :thumbsu:

I know there are a few Jindera boys on here and just have a question...Heard rumours a few new faces might be seen out that way in the coming weeks, and maybe a couple of old, (out of retirement etc)...any truth to this?

My tips for this week.

Henty v Culcairn by 60 points
Holbrook v Osborne by 50 points
Jindera v Howlong by 26 points
Lockhart v Rand-Walbundrie by 6 points
Murray Magpies v Coleambally by 48 points
Billabong Crows v CDHBU by 15 points
Walla v Brocklesbury-Burrumbuttock by 5 points

Other opinions?

Can't confirm or deny any rumours there has been whispers but that has been the case for about the past month. In terms of names i know as much as you do FF. These soughts of rumours are always about with every club right up until June 30. We'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.

Sentences should never start with an and and you've spelt capital wrong *******!

Oh dear!

Sorry about that, it was more a case of my poor typing skills than not actually knowing how to spell "capital". As for the "...." it actually represents the continuation of a sentence, not the start of another. And anyway, the Bible starts sentences with "And" so I should be able to.

And the point was supposed to be that it is not a spelling contest, there are more important issues to discuss.

So with the whole clearance thing done and dusted with Matt Murray, does anyone know the major differences in North's contracts with Mackie and Murray? Normally you would think that it would be harder for someone to go "down" a league like Mackie did, as opposed to transfer to another club in the same league like Murray tried. I suppose it comes down to the finer details of each contract, and probably not too many people besides those involved would know.

After a big name retirement this week expect the Saints to come out firing with big wins in the seniors and 2's, they'll really keen to do it for a special bloke called 'Roota':D

Henty v Culcairn by 75 points
Holbrook v Osborne by 75 points
Jindera v Howlong by 25 points
Lockhart v Rand-Walbundrie by 20 points
Murray Magpies v Coleambally by 90 points

Walla v Brocklesbury-Burrumbuttock draw

Ok so 4 rounds in and not many surprises.
One is that Holbrook are alot worse than evryone first thought
Second is that Jindera haven't dropped off much if at all
Will be interested to see CDHBU come up against a good team to see how they fair.. Coly in the same category but i expect Lockhart to beat them next week.. Lockhart are in the same boat they were last year imo, they will make finals but will struggle to really contend for the flag
BB and RW have improved but hard to see them as contenders with rw the better of the two
MM for the spoon as expected with their only challengers being the Crows
Howling will play finals and have some firepower
Osborne will still be their usual selves being up their having a real tilt at the flag
Culcairn are third in line after Osborne and Jindera
Henty and Walla will win a few games but wont play finals

Thoughts?

Henty v Culcairn by 75 points Won by 80
Holbrook v Osborne by 75 points Won by 67
Jindera v Howlong by 25 points Won by 47
Lockhart v Rand-Walbundrie by 20 points Won by 11
Murray Magpies v Coleambally by 90 points Won by 50
Billabong Crows v CDHBU by 50+ points Won by 75
Walla v Brocklesbury-Burrumbuttock draw Walla won by 18

Not a bad weeks tipping there

CDHBU beat Rand-Walbundrie away in round 1, which many wouldn't have tipped, however, it's true that the bigger tests are still to come.
Lockhart at Lockhart in two weeks will be a massive one, depending on that result they should be 6-1 or 7-0 heading into a month of Jindera (a), Holbrook (h), Culcairn (a) and Osborne (h) which will determine how they are likely to go this season.
That's not underestimating Walla (round 7) either, but with that match at the Powerhouse, you'd think CDHBU would be favourites.
I saw the Power-Swampies game and the Power will need to be a lot better than that to beat the top teams (although they seem to have lifted for Doug Lavis' 250th game against the Crows).
Henty have a red hot go and had their chances to win - anyone that takes them lightly could find themselves getting burned.

And to Fevalution - I just haven't had time yet. Hoping to get a chance to catch up in the next couple of weeks.

news out of the kennel this week is tom weldon is back as well as the signing of damiun cassidy from chiltern. another possible 2 signings of key players towards the end of the week

In addition to Mot and Damo to that looks as though they have aquired the services of another forward from melbourne,
