rumour is up to a dozen new faces at Tigerland including Matt Jones form Mitta, a large number of ex nortth players.
aybe axenator could fill in the gaps of exactly who he has picked up

Tigers look to be the ones to beat, but I wouldn't rely on Matt Jones, as he hasn't played a full season for 4 years due to injury, maybe a has been.

Tigers didn't even make finals last year, so you would think they would need quite a few recruits to challenge the like of Jindera and Osborne.

Good to see ya back sixpack. I have been missing a few of your one liners.

Any one know the rumours of the price tag the lions maybe paying for D. Murray.Heard there is not much left in the account at the den after paying a hefty fee for the ex AFL player

How does he go?
Where has he been playing lately?
Is he Mackie - Hilton standard?

Played at Rumbalara lasty year Thurgoona the year before.
gets himself fit and keen he would easily be the best player in the competition. But fitness and keenness aren't his strong points. Tends to be a bit un realiable as well, however when his up and going he is great to watch.
personally i think his to big a risk for the money he attracts.

Now that the forum is known and I know that the Southern Regional Board, AFL house and the Advertiser read our comments whether gossip or factual. I would like to put a question to all parties mentioned.

I hear whispers that the Board is going to make some big changes for "2010" season with Farrer, RFL and Hume.

The question Iam wanting to ask to the Southern Regional Board and AFL House is what's on their agenda for "2010" and how big are the changes going to be.

If your plans are to merge clubs or even move clubs between leagues, I think you should speak to the clubs now and work with each other to make sure the changes will suit all involved.

I think forcing changes on clubs maybe at the end of the "09" season will cause trouble for everyone, please open the agenda up and let all involved work together for the greater of Football.

You're making the fatal assumption that the board listens to opinions, applies logic to their decisions and understands what is in the best interests of local football.

well I would like to think they well consult with the clubs in all three leagues to do this and not do what they did with the Murray Mapies.

Thats all iam wanting is that they will discuss with clubs cause there are some small towns that count on their footy teams and netball clubs

interesting draw released last week. You can see the league is trying to limit the amount of lop sided games by putting the top sides from last year against each other twice. Good in theory but could become interesting at finals time with one or 2 of the lesser sides filling the spots 5th and 6th due to having an easier draw. There could be some hidings in September. But know complaints from where i am good for the club to have some more harder matches especially at the end of the year.

If you're a top team that's fine. But you have to feel for the clubs that in reality will be the 4th, 5th or 6th best sides in the comp, but may end up missing out on playing finals to an inferior team who had an easier draw. A footy comp isn't fair dinkum across the board until every team plays each other the same amount of times through the season.

What r peoples opinions on who should be picked in the interleague side this year to play tallangatta at lavie? What club r they comming from?

be bloody easy to pick it mm. 80% of it will be made up of Jindera, Osborne & Culcairn players with a sprinkle to come from Holbrook and Howlong and maybe a guest appearance by 1 or 2 from Rand/Wal. the others could all probabaly have the weekend off or come up and sit on the hill at lavy and get pissed while thier counterparts put up a good show against the mob from across the ditch :thumbsu:

Club coaches i think will be wary of player management. when it comes to interleague. Particulary with the older better players from the clubs who decide to play interleague (i'm a definate supporter) with the draw the way it is the players that play interleague will play from ANZAC day right through to the end of september as there are no byes. Thats a long stretch.
But hey thats part of a challenge of being a club coach.

Can ne1 name the players that should be picked??

all the hype for the inter league revolves around the big money spenders.there are plenty of other players in the league who would put their hand if required.lets start with BB Siants new recuirt Glanville. Then you have glen eddy and brad scott.I bet you will be surpised when the squad is named and if the league is seriuos about it maybe the coach could be a non player and not from culcain?????

i Think you will find the in form players will be picked no matter who is coaching and which club they come from. And for the record i think you'll find paul Glanville is on big money
