My tip is that 5 more blokes from walla's 2's will leave, cos they're not sure whether they:
1. are locals or not
2. played enough juniors matches to satisfy us on bigfooty
3. train often enough to deserve a game over non-locals who do train...

and you blokes will be to blame!!!:D

Priceless Lake Cargellico humour, head. Could rely on you to lighten the super serious conversation somewhat.

Is there any footy on this weekend or is it another exciting episode of The Walla Reserves of our lives. Seriously boys move the fuuuuck on. I heard along the grapevine somewhere that Jindera were playing Culcairn, match of the season so far to date and all you want to talk about is the Walla reserves. any prediction's any mud slinging ANYTHING exciting at all.

actually heard that joel mackie has signed a clearance just in time to line up for walla reserves, though word on the street is he might struggle to get a run............
seriously though big 2 weeks for pretenders /contenders/money spenders jindera. cul by 15 points

Since you mention his name, I have heard that Mackie has had a bit of a stoush with a local Jindera club man. Not sure who (possibly could be the runner, but that is yet to be confirmed), or many of the details but could he change clubs just once more this season?

Come on Joel - there is only a couple of days left, and then you will have to stick with your decision for an enitire half a season!

I,m sure the team Culcairns put together, isn't coming cheap

heard a whisper today that clinton "smalls" Gilson is palying out of the square tomorrow hope he packs his step ladder i recon he will need it
and Ben "tripod" Shilg has also come into the side this week, look out ladies the boys a star with a massive weapon.
Im tipping the rwt to give it a massive shake tomorrow they have found a bit of form over the past fortnight and from what guru gorman has been telling me theres a few more wins to be had for mighty tigers yet
Go Clint "the guru" Gorman

Honestly, I find the Walla's two's more interesting than the "who has spent the most money on their team" game you mention.
But being nowhere near the area makes silly things interesting for me.

This thread is in a terrible state. A massive game between Jindera and Cul and all we get is some rubbish about some bloke no-one cares about..... who plays for a club who is basically last......

Who won for God's Sake and did anything happen that could give people something to read about??

Rennie enjoyed a 50 point win over BB Saints at Burrum. 2 wins on the trot (albeit against lower placed sides) but greatly enjoyed by the Hoppers following a winless 2007. The aim of 5 or 6 wins looking gettable. Lockhart next week will be a step up, but confidence and performance on the ground are steadily improving.:thumbsu:

The state of the Burrum footy ground was a joke - do they believe in lawn mowers, watering it or filling in holes over there? Rennie lost one player (probably for a month) after he rolled an ankle badly. Blokes getting tackled into the ground were getting up groggy. Rennie were reluctant to sign off on the ground at the start of the day after inspecting it. In a no win situation - didn't think it was up to scratch but felt that they would have been crucified if they didn't sign it as ok. Any opinions on what might happen (and what would be the backlash) if a club doesn't sign off on the ground as playable?

Was at the game.. rand were never in it from the first bounce.. took a bit of a fight in the third quarter to fire them up.. Lockhart too win easily against rennie at rennie
Any thoughts about the osborne jindera clash this saturday?.. and what happened to culcairn in the last quarter against jindera?

This game was 2 weeks ago???
Score did not represent the closeness of the game..was more of a 2 goal game in favour of Jindera

I assume this will be a problem for a few clubs with the lack of rain (and in the case of BB I also assume a lack of cash). I don't live over that way anymore, but when I was there a few years back, the Brock ground was as hard as a cats head, how is that going now?

what about the walla culcairn game i know i'm a walla man so i believe we have a chance lol but what are others thoughts a few injuries to the lions at the moment will gilson get up and play???? can the hoppers win with key blokes out too the lions???

Interested to hear comments on how Simon Fairall has been going for the Brookers.

Very slowly:D:D Thought you and your little mate might have made it out to Holbrook Sponsors Day on the weekend KITM. Know the big Roo was busy building a tree house, maybe you were there supervising construction, would have made interesting viewing :D.

On the weekend v Crows club couldn't fault them. Good days footy in all grades and the boys filled the rooms after to have a few beers. Great form from the new HFL club :thumbsu:

well done to rennie on sharing a beer afterwards at the Burrum pub.Unlike a well spent club who couldn't be bothered earlier in the year.the ground is very rough yes,but i have seen alot worse over my time.Yes you can blame ground for getting hurt but that can happen anywhere ,anytime. With the tackling maybe the saints tackled hard????Just wondering doobie where does rennie get its players from??? The 2's tried hard but were over ran .By the way that's 5 wins for the saints 2's.

I still think Cul will get up and win, although gilson's gonna be out for at least another 4, the schulz boys look to be out which are also a big loss.. Think cul's big forwards will get them over the line.

Reggie - One thing we've enjoyed about the Hume League this year is all the new pubs and clubrooms we get to have a beer at! Your blokes and Holbrook in particular have made us welcome enough that we've been happy to stick about afterwards. Many of us also kicked onto the Brock Pub (after Burrum) for plenty more beers and one of the best roast dinners I've ever had. Thanks for making us welcome.

Yeah, I've seen worse grounds too. But, after repeatedly getting told by the HFL hiearchy (not clubs) how great the league is etc we were a bit shocked at the state of the Burrum ground. Both teams have to play on it though so there's no advantages. Mate, I thought the ground was hard because a few of your boys (in the Seniors) were getting up slowly from some driving tackles by the Rennie boys - not the other way around. I guess your blokes are used to it as it is your ground. Probably 80% of the club is now drawn from Yarrawonga and Mulwala these days. Rural decline, shift of population, etc. We love it out there, and prefer the bush footy club atmosphere to that of Mulwala and Yarra FC's.

Well done to your 2's. A good even team across the paddock - no stars. We found your club through all the grades fine to deal with. Good luck for the rest of the season.

It's really good to see some of the comments on here in the past couple of days between Rennie-Saints and Holbrook towards the Crows.
That's much better for country footy and the feeling around country towns than slagging and bitch fighting that seems to go on.
Actually to keep up the good work, I'd like to ask people to comment on who they have found to be the best clubs to play away to in the manner described above - hospitality etc - because it was always one of the best features of the Coreen league.
