Did the spiders have a full team in on Saturday?? Looks like early predictions for the doggies were pretty good.

Riverting thread this one isnt it.
Firstly congrats to the cul boys on being able to unveil there 07 flag on the wweekend then dish out a percentage boosting hiding to henty. The swampies have had a horror run in the past 12 months, firstly turning down matty to coach then watch him take some players to cul and lead them to a flag, then they lost all there playrs and the club nearly folded and to add insult to injury they play culcairn first up, watch there favourite son matty unveil the preimiership flay and then dish out a hiding to the swampies. Oh how different things could of been for both sides, IF ONLY............ And anyone who doubted that wishy deserved the azzi last year prob should take notice of the results on the we, the man carved up, has obiviously been keen as all summer and got a truckload of the footy hopefully sielencing any critics once and for all. Good luck to the lions, hope they smash jindera and bloody howlong as well

No mate, I don't know more at this stage. I may know more by the other end of this weekend and I will let you know if I do.
All I noticed was that most of the clearances on that board were for Riverina and Farrer clubs and I couldn't see more than half a dozen or 10 for Hume league.
There's obviously been a lot more than that happening.

I wasn't having a crack at you mate, I thank you for finding that site, I was just making another dig at the Hume league's lack of a proper site coming from the Coreen league which was brilliantly looked after internet wise.
Cheerz

Further to this I now know more, and can pass it on to all the Hume league fans out there.

The organisation of the old CDFL in getting the internet up and running has moved east, with the Hume league's Sporting Pulse website now being up and running with a CDFL person at the helm.
It's not fully functional as yet, with clearances, the results section and other features to come as the season progresses, but you can get on there and read all the stories being printed in the Border Mail and the Daily Advertiser, as well as a special link to all the results.
Thanks to those that have worked so hard to get it up and running.

Enjoy.

Hallelujah, the modern age has finally reached the only league in Australia without a website worth looking at.

Watch this space for Rand picking up a couple of fringe Nth.Albury players in the next couple of weeks. Also pencil in A.Brown as A/C out there next year.

After getting smashed by the Crows on the weekend, they will need more than a couple and they will have to be better than Nth Albury fringe players. My advice to R/W, save your money for next year.

I tried to get Kiall "Bobsled" Ryan over to play at Tat this year. He was CHB/FB for Walla last year. How would he go against the likes of Saad Saad, Brad Campbell etc in the GV?

is that a serious question? delivery is so much better in the gv, he would struggle big time

Just remember nano premierships arent won in April.
Spiders I dont think were that bad and will surprise a few teams when at full strength.
Unfortunately like most clubs depth will be a major issue.
Just wondering if nano is short 4 nano idea

he lacks consistency he would struggle big time against the the best forwards in the GV

Spiders stayed with walla even when not playing so well, Looked pretty slick when they got it right late in the game. T Ball looks alot fitter than iv'e seen him previously and with a strong on ball brigade could push the Culs and Osbornes. Think they have Holbrook after a bye, should be a good clash out at brooker land.

The game was action-packed and remained up for grabs right until full-time with Holbrook kicking the final three goals of the game to prevail.
The game was played at a frantic pace from the first bounce with a total of 27 goals being kicked and the lead changing a total of five times.

Holbrook coach Manny Edmunds was keen to get a win on the board, especially against a team the calibre of Jindera.

“It is good to get the first win of the season up,” Edmunds said.

“It was a good, tight and hard game of footy that was played at a pretty high standard.

“I thought we did well in the one-on-one challenges which won us a lot of possessions.”

Edmunds was pleased with the contribution of all his players but singled out a few for special praise.

“Hayden Lanyon and Brendan Hankle played well,” Edmunds said.

“I thought Tommy Hickey presented well while Aaron West in the ruck had a great battle with Ben Ryan.”

Jindera coach Robbie Murray was remaining upbeat following the team’s first loss of the season.

“It is very early in the year so we aren’t too upset about the result,” Murray said.

“I thought it was a really good game of footy but they had a crisper ball when they were going forward.

“I still think we can hold our heads high, the boys put in a good effort and they were simply better on the day.”

Murray thought Mark Hilton at centre half back played well, as did Ryan, who toiled hard in the ruck.

Jindera now has the bye, which will give the Bulldogs two weeks to rest and repair for its next game against BB Saints.

“Having the bye will be a good opportunity to sort some things out,” Murray said.

“We have also had some players out so it will be good to get them back.”
