Captain Cook statue outside Melbourne’s Cook’s Cottage toppled amid spate of attacks
City of Melbourne council says CCTV footage shows a group cutting down statue early Monday in the third attack on a Captain Cook memorial in Melbourne this yearwww.theguardian.com

No point even conversing with you if you are going to jump on something that should be uncontroversial and generally agreed upon. The past 10 years there has been a big move from the left towards cancel culture, given the context of this conversation it should be obvious what I am talking about. You are either that far biased, or just wanting to be argumentative.
Your definition of hypocrisy does not allow for one opinion to contravene another opinion. Pretty important to include that I would have thought.
...Say "Merry Christmas" to an Indian Immigrant they will give you a huge smile, say "Merry Christmas" back, then initiate a conversation about life in general and depending on how often they come into the store you have a new friend
Say "Merry Christmas" to a white private school educated elitist with no minority friends and they will immediately attack "Ever heard of Diwali racist???"

There is something very wrong with your moral compass. Did you leave it sitting beside your stereo speakers? The left want people to use public transport, and for people - particularly women - to be able to feel safe on PT and everywhere else. They then criminalise good people like Daniel Penny who make the public space safer for all.
I don't see how murdering a homeless person makes you good people. The left want people to use public transport, and for people - particularly women - to be able to feel safe on PT and everywhere else. They then criminalise good people like Daniel Penny who make the public space safer for all.
As an example of “particularly women”, men on public transport make me feel unsafe. So I should do the rest of the (female) public a favour and shoot any bloke I encounter on public transport? The left want people to use public transport, and for people - particularly women - to be able to feel safe on PT and everywhere else. They then criminalise good people like Daniel Penny who make the public space safer for all.
... do right wing people not also want this??? Do you not want people to feel safe in public places? If you do, why is this a left wing thing? The left want people to use public transport, and for people - particularly women - to be able to feel safe on PT and everywhere else.
I don't see how murdering a homeless person makes you good people.
Perhaps you could explain?
Maybe read the story of what happenedAs an example of “particularly women”, men on public transport make me feel unsafe. So I should do the rest of the (female) public a favour and shoot any bloke I encounter on public transport?
Complete and utter misreading of what was said... do right wing people not also want this??? Do you not want people to feel safe in public places? If you do, why is this a left wing thing?
How is this a hypocrisy of the left? It's barely a hypocrisy - Daniel Penny killed someone; that person definitely wasn't safe in a public space - and it's not specifically to do with a left wing ideal or otherwise.
This is almost dumber than the last one. Almost.
I'm asking you why you think someone who murdered a homeless person is good people.Maybe read the story of what happened
Complete and utter misreading of what was said
Very obviously wasn’t murder. Do not twist the facts to suit your own agenda, champI'm asking you why you think someone who murdered a homeless person is good people.
I'm not asking what happened
My question was to you because you said he was a good person making public transport safe
Do you think murdering homeless people creates a better society?
He choked a homeless man to death in front of a crowdVery obviously wasn’t murder. Do not twist the facts to suit your own agenda, champ
Society is a significantly safer place for all with people like Daniel Penny walking the streets and not people like Jordan Neely
Who cares if he was homeless? Has nothing to do with anything. He choked a homeless man to death in front of a crowd
The only person who was actually violent that day was Penny
So again, what makes him a good person because choking an unconscious man to death when people told him to stop doesn't sound like a good person to me
He didn't get choked out he got choked to deathWho cares if he was homeless? Has nothing to do with anything.
Re: Neely being completely non-violent. Eyewitness reports suggest otherwise.
All Jordan Neely had to do to not get choked out was act like a civilised human being n public. He chose not to.
To rewrite the story in this way is just wrong. That is not what happened, per the statements of those who were actually there. Quite sickening, really. He didn't get choked out he got choked to death
He was a human being in public he was a homeless person asking for food and a job and Penny murdered him
He didn't have a weapon, he hadn't hit anyone.
I shouldn't be surprised you give zero ****s about a man being killed, you didn't care about the aged care resident who died after the cops tased her.
This is what you do, you support violent men on the internet and cry about the left
Courts in America are ****edI didn’t know Penny was convicted of murder he was found not guilty wasn’t he? so why are mods allowed to get away with spreading bullshit .
Cry more about itTo rewrite the story in this way is just wrong. That is not what happened, per the statements of those who were actually there. Quite sickening, really.
