ICC 2005 Announced!

An astonoshing effort in the first ODI v England, as the Deshi's leave the host nation in shatters.

Put into bat, I made an unbelievable 298 for 5, with Arif Ahmed on ODI Debut knocking up 98, and he hasn't played for several weeks after breaking a finger.

England chase and chase well, making 298 for 8, and Bangladesh win on fewer wickets remaining :thumbsu:

Minhajul Abedin bowled 2 overs, taking 2 late wickets. While Mohammad Ashraful bowled the last over, forcing a dot ball.

Welldone lads. Roughie congrats on the World Cup win.
I just spanked the Windies 3-0 in 4 Tests in the Caribbean. Jaques out for 294 in the last Test, and Punter has 6 tons and 7 50s from 13 tests this summer so far.
Dave Hussey is an amazing player isnt he? Better than Mike in this game. Worst fielder EVER though. For some reason he kepts getting put at 1st slip and he drops 50% of catches, no exaggeration either. Very frustrating.

I have drafted in Hauritz who has done well after a few off games by Cam White, and Rofe got a run instead of Lee and hes done ok. Not as good as in the ODI's though, Cosgrove has strugged a bit too. I wish Cullen was in the game!!

Have currently taken the bangas to 4 in the world in both forms of the game in 2010. Triggered by a 1-0 victory against the poms first up, which set them up for a 0-5 loss in the Ashes.:)

#1 side looking like this.

Arif Ahmed+
Nafees Iqbal
Aftab Ahmed
Rajin Saleh*
Denahar Arif
Manjural Islam
Golem Rahman
Ahsanullah Hasan
Mossadek Hossain
Tareq Aziz
Rezaul Haque

12th - Farukh Khan

Hasan is the oldest player at 30 so the side will be together for a while. Hossain is a leggie who replaced the retired Rafique a couple of years back, Arif is a rapidly improving 19 year old and Khan is a 21 year old paceman.

Get Elias Sunny in the side, he and Manjural carve it up, great all rounders.

Just scored over 400 for the 1st time in a one day international, it was an excellent pitch and my opener Christie made 197 (143).
Ironically, it was against SAF and they chased it down.

After that unbelievable win in the first ODI with Bangladesh against England (see above), in the next match the Banga's are going brilliantly. 1/110 after 20 overs...stay tuned.

Bangladesh, what a finish. Sent in to bat, and at the change of innings, Bangladesh have forced more media at the ground than ever before, scoring a wicked 6 for 324 with Minhajul Abedin the hero with 135 while nervous nineties debutant of last game, Arif Ahmed scores an unbeaten 93.

Bangladesh have beaten Australia in June 2005, just like in real life, except they came off one of the games of the century to beat England only days before.

Unbelievable scenes at Sophia Gardens, as Minhajul Abedin is the hero as is Rezaul Haque who made the fairytale complete.

BANGLADESH 324 for 6 (Minhajul Abedin 135[140] Arif Ahmed 93*[82] Habibul Bashar 25[20] M Kasprowicz 3-72[10]) beat AUSTRALIA 279 (J Langer 80[46] M Hayden 71[60] A Gilchrist 29 [31] Rezaul Haque 3-45[8] Abdur Razzak 3-53[10])

The Banga;s have won another brilliant game that got ME right into it, I was just clapping every wicket as a manager, you bewdy.

3-0 in 3 games and England and Australia, the top 2 sides are useless :p

Bangladesh coming off two of the greatest victories ever, back to back, may have gone yet again, one better.

At 5-42, Bangladesh were in real strife, but a solid 6th wicket partnership of 74 by newest sensation Arif Ahmed and Rajin Saleh gave hope. Another good partnership, and quick, 63 run stand for the 8th wicket, was thanks to Abdul Razzak, who made 40 while Mashrafe Mortaza made a handy 33.

Chasing 207 for victory, the Poms started on a decent note. At 2-108, they were looking like getting a win back, but it fell apart as momentum shifted. A couple quick wickets though saw Trescothick head towards his quick hundred before a ripper catch by Mohammad Hossain saw him go for 98, and 5-183 quickly turned to 9-194, with the final wicket falling at 198, giving the Bangladesh side a 9 run victory, better than their win by more wickets in hand only last week.

Bangladesh will be in the final, as Australia also beat the Poms a second time.

Chasing 261 for victory, Australia were in deep trouble at 6/76 against the Sri Lankan's on a turning pitch.
Dean Christie and David Hussey managed to put on 91 for the 7th wicket, but by then the run rate required had climbed to 7.3 per over and still in need of another 96 runs.
Andrew Mcdonald came in and stayed with Hussey, getting him past 50, but then went out and it looked over at 8/203.
Paul Rofe made a handy 15 and then went out.
Australia needed 19 off the last 2 overs, Hussey was the only hope.
He smashed 3 fours in the penultimate over and managed to keep strike for the last over.
5 to win, hits another boundary followed by a dot, then takes a quick single to finish on 103*(72), the great escape, my best comeback ever.

What a finish. They are great fairytales. Hussey is a gem of a player. McDonald, at times :p
Yeh, from 2007-2010 i haven't had a test bowler in the top 30.
Mcdonald is my best bowler and he averages 38
But last year he took 58 @ 32.
He's my 1st bowler to go inside 30, at 11.

Play as England and every bowler will basically be averaging under 30

I am Bangladesh. Will come back to you in 3 years game time, and tell you how many are under 45 :p
lol, they have a way better attack than aus, all the spinners ave under 30 basically.
hard to get a good paceman though.

Beaten in the first test against Sri Lanka convincingly, Bangladesh have come out firing in the second test. Scores at Tea Day 3:

SRL - 1st Inns - 141 All Out (Mohammad Rafique 5-41, Rezaul Haque 4-29)
BAN - 1st Inns - 343 for 4 (Habibul Bashar 101*, Rajin Saleh 75, Mohammad Ashraful 62, Minhajul Abedin 59)

Pretty happy with that.

Great win to Bangladesh, and my first Test victory with them.

Mohammad Rafique back in the side had his best test match ever. He provided 5-41 and 7-88 with 12 in the match, his career best test innings and match figures along with his 52 not out in the first innings, and provided 4 not out at no.3 in the second innings.

Bangladesh won by 9 wickets, while Habibul Bashar came off with a hundred.

Playing with Bangladesh (like everyone else), I'm currently 5th in test and 2nd in one day rankings halfway through 2009 (although I am playing on easy).

New Zealand and England are my biatches, haven't lost a test to either so far :D

I've got the next Shane Warne in my team, Arafat Sunny, who's taken 150 wickets at a bit over 21, and is only 22 years old. Currently touring South Africa where I won the series 1-0.
