AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Sammy Mitchell would be a sneaky chance to go back2back.
How has he gone lately?2back runner up? Yeah, possibly.
In all honesty I'm surprised more people aren't selecting Watson. Sure, he missed 4 games (including PA) and won't have gotten votes in the past 3, but we had a similar slide last season. Would have polled against:
Adelaide (3), Melbourne (3), Fremantle (3), St. Kilda (3), Collingwood (2), Brisbane (1), Richmond (2), Gold Coast (2), West Coast (2) plus a possibility of getting 1 against Geelong. That leaves him on 22 votes right now
How has he gone lately?
Has his form dropped off?
If so why do you think that is?
Bookies officially have Selwood as favorite if Ablett is out of contentionSeems a forgone conclusion that the brownlow is going home with Gary this year, rightly or wrongly. I wonder tho, if by some unlikely occurrence he was rendered ineligible before the end of the H/A season, who gets it?
My tip would be J Selwood, D Swan or maybe M Barlow.
If the Herald Sun Award is an indication (it is a 3-2-1 voting system) Selwood is on 21 votes along with Fyfe, Jack, and Swan. Ablett on 20.Selwood making a late run dont know how many early-mid season votes he has or may get.KJack has also had super year not ending the season aswell as some he would like.
Which one? Given the Pie's indifferent form this year I can't see the two dominating.Dane Swan or Scott Pendlebury.
Seriously, how has Scott Pendlebury's name not been mentioned in this thread yet?
As good a chance as he's ever had IMO.
He's having his best and most consistent individual season (has had just two games with less than 25 disposals, and in both of those he "only" got 23), hasn't missed a game, is playing in a finals side. He gets a huge amount of the footy, uses the ball exquisitely, tackles, wins clearances, kicks goals. Seems to tick all the boxes for a Brownlow season IMO.
Jack, Griffin, Selwood or Danger as the smokey.
It was actually to have a bit of a laugh. I enjoy how you are carrying on about validility when you made comments about the Chris Grant incident that you obviously know little to none about.I realise that, but obvious logic shows that if you have extended poor periods during a season, it will damage your chances of polling enough votes to win.
Well the whole intent of such a comment would be to hurt or offend, no? It certainly doesn't count as any sort of valid argument against what was actually being discussed.
