Huh? No one from Geelong is salty that Dusty won. I'm glad he won, he's great. Richmond has done nothing for 35 years so I'm actually happy they're in the big dance and hoping they win.Geelong salt is the best salt.

Both coaches had Dusty BOG, one coach didn't even have Cripps in his top 5, yet he polls 3 in a loss.
You can cry all you want about Danger not polling in one game, Dusty has similar examples of being robbed.
To win the Brownlow you need to poll the most and not get suspended. Danger failed on both counts.
Danger didn't miss out because of some AFL conspiracy, he missed out because Martin had a superior season, which was highlighted by his BOG against the Cats in the QF while Danger put in a shocker.

At worst Martin would have tied. And who is to say Dangerfield would have picked up the required 3 votes agaist the swans anyway? He's only won 2 votes in 11 games against them in his career, the only clubs he polls worse against are St Kilda and Adelaide.

Yes great effort and he won't slow down either. But that's some loser talk
record breaking year but all this count did was confirm the greatenss of dangerfield. Spent the third of the season playing lame with first broken ribs and then afoot injury and then missed a game for a dodgy suspension and then got robbed of votes in the last round and still picked up 33 votes. greatest individual 2 years from a player ever.

Leigh Matthews went 40 and 3 one game and got 0 votes. Lost the Brownlow by 1 vote.
I think 40 and 3 is better than 30 and 2.
there are brownlow winners with less then 20 votes and non brownlow winners with 30. brownlow rules should be changed. every player who gets atleast 27 votes in a season should get a brownlow. if there are seasons where no one gets 27 then the brownlow should not be awarded. That is a much more just approach to the award.
