Talking crap about something unrelated to make yourself look good. Well done mate. You've proved you know jack about your own team. :)
Its not unrelated, the way you carried on in 2006 you cared more about getting Thompson fired then about how Geelong did on the field, and you are accusing Karl of not being a 100% one eyed fan because he isn't focused on his team winning (in your own words).

And that proved I know jack all about my team how? now THATS an unrelated point, not to mention irrelevant and wrong.

Hey, i'm just giving you the facts. I told you the fans don't give a crap and backed it up with facts.

No they're not. They draw pathetic crowds. They did before Katrina as well. As i stated, worst in the league.
Finding your feet? Please, it's been 6 seasons. Every other franchise that has entered the league or moved has drawn quality crowds despite shit records in their first 6 years. They don't give a crap.
Unless Oklahoma City suddenly became part of New Orleans we have spent under 4 seasons in New Orleans with Katrina in the middle of that, while in the first 3 years we went from a mediocre team of players on their last legs to a team almost as bad as the Knicks.

If they didn't give a crap, they wouldn't turn out to games against crap teams such as yours. You seem to think that every team can automatically draw sellouts or near sellouts easily. New Orleans is only slightly bigger then Geelong, has on average one of the lowest disposable incomes in America (partly due to Katrina) and has been home to the Saints for over 40 years. Basketball coming to New Orleans would be like the A-league setting up a team in Geelong, of coarse it isn't going to be a huge success to begin with but if you give it time it can work and it is starting to work (once again, 10 sellouts in 15 games, a lot against crap teams like yours).

Every other franchise has drawn quality crowds in their first 6 years eh? Do you mean like the Grizzlies, who only lasted in Vancouver for 6 years? and can't draw crowds in Memphis either. What about the Bobcats? but don't let facts get in the way of a good point.

I don't care about Karl's opinion. I don't follow the Celtics or Hornets, it should be the C's fans that feel embarrassed to have him jumping on the wagon and then wanting other teams to win.
Maybe know a little something about basketball before you post here. :)
If you don't care about his opinion then what is the point of you posting in here? just to take pot shots at him?

don't let facts get in the way of a good point.

I've posted the facts. All you want to do is take the focus off those and bring in irrelevant things, such as my opinions on my football club and taking pot shots at the Knicks.
Seems like you're awfully defensive about the fact New Orleans don't support their team. They'll be much better when they move to Oklahoma.

So Oklahoma is going to get BOTH the Sonics AND Hornets?

I might move to Oklahoma. Watching CP3 + Durant dominate for the next 10+ years would be a lot of fun. Plus the NBA would finally have a decent cross-town rivalry.

They've had an awesome home crowd in the last month and a half or so, which is a fair effort considering a good chunk of NO's residents are still recovering from Katriona, and NO isn't even a big basketball market at the best of times. They're not moving anywhere.

it'll be hard for new orlenes to make the finals though, as they're still very young inexperienced, and in thier conference gotta get through teams like pheonix and the lakers and heaps of others with a lot more playoff experience, and even if they do make the finals apart from detroit and my boys at the magic, the celtics have no-one that will really challenge for the tital so if they come up against the hornets in the finals, they should be able to run them off their legs.

but if NO are gonna win it they'll wanna do it this year, cause portland next year when they get oden finally playing will be unstopabble... +.500 without that lebron james of big men says it all

Sonics look like staying in Seattle now. Oklahoma will be a great city for a team. It's a shame for N.O they've already had the Jazz and now the Hornets. If they leave then the Saints will have it on their own for good.

Sonics are 99.99% gone. Hornets have no plan to move anywhere. What are you on about?

this is the general theme of his posting. He has no idea what he's on about - The Sonics are gone. New Orleans isn't going anywhere, it's a PR disaster waiting to happen and even Stern isn't stupid enough to move a team out of New Orleans.

Thanks for the tips boss.

Don't look like staying sorry. The city did offer $300 mill to save them.
Hornets can opt out of New Orleans if they don't average average 14,735 fans at the end of the 2008-09 season.
The best thing for them is to go to a city that wants them. Norleans fans don't want them as bad as Oklahoma.

Let's see some of your gems shall we?

'Amare is one of the worst defenders in the league'
'Phoenix won't even make the playoffs'
'I'm a Celtic through and though' - yet despite the best record you'd be happy to waste that and fail to see the Hornets go all the way.

Well done mate.

Phoenix were looking very shakey at that stage, but to their credit they turned it around - clearly my prediction was wrong. Hardly on the scale of your prediction that NO are moving to OKC, considering Seattle are as good as there already.

Amare is not a good defender. At the C position he is one of the worst defenders in the league, since the Shaq addition he isn't exposed as much - I'd say that comment was spot on.

I am a Celtic through and through, I just don't fit into your narrow minded view of what a fan is. That is your problem and not mine.

Here's him a few weeks ago bragging about he's now been a Carlton member for longer than he was a Geelong one.

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10048981&postcount=114

Here, pretending to be happy for his Geelong buddies after his 'deflection'

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=9685043&postcount=199

Here he is pretending he never barracked for Geelong. Contradicting the post where he admitted he deflected.

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=9833419&postcount=15

And finally my favourite..... again admitting he was a Geelong fan and deflected because he had problems with other Geelong fans. But the best bit is the final line. 'How do u think my Patriots are going JD ???' :D

Anytime he abuses Geelong is Bay13 someone will bring up his move to carlton.

Once again... you can be happy for a team to win that isn't your own. Not everyone is a one eyed supporter, particularly in the NBA.

Where does this line of thinking come from???

If the Magic don't win there are other teams that I wouldn't mind seeing win but certainly none that I want to win.

Before this thread I had never heard of anyone wanting another team to win....esp when their own team has the best record in the league by a long long way.

I don't know if we have signed the new deal yet but I will give you the benifit of the doubt and technically you are right about the lease but we are in the process of signing a 10 year no opt out lease which should be signed very soon. The Hornets have NO plans whatsoever to move and they will not be moving for at least a decade.

You have no clue do you? lmao you actually think the Sonics are staying in Seattle!

I've posted the facts. All you want to do is take the focus off those and bring in irrelevant things, such as my opinions on my football club and taking pot shots at the Knicks.

lol you are missing the point, you accuse Karl of not being 100% focused on his team winning when you did the same thing.

And of coarse I am defensive about it when you want to attack my team and attack the supporters who have been through so much and most of which have much, MUCH higher priorities atm then going to the NBA. Since the All-Star break the crowds have been great for us considering the circumstances.

I've posted the facts too, 10 sellouts in the last 15 games. Oops.... sorry, make that 11 in the last 16 games today.

Maybe you should read basketball forums other then bigfooty sometime then. Many people are more fans of the game then fans of a particular team and there is a much smaller % of one eyed supporters in the NBA then the AFL, soccer, rugby etc. Many people have second favorate teams as well.

Haha yes I don't read other NBA forums. I have never posted something another forum.

If you are talking about people on realgm or some rubbish like that you aren't talking about real basketball fans. Just people under the age of 16 with nothing better to do.

I still fail to grasp how being 1 eyed and wanting another team to win the title when your team is finally in a position to win a title after what is it now 20 years are linked. Explain that one to me.

Well I guess you've learned something then. Congratulations.

Rick James is not a Celtics fan..

And as for Sir Spamalot (Renegade) it's tossers like you that made me glad I defected to Carlton, I never once didn't admit it (well not recently anyway) but I've now been a member of Carlton more then Geelong, so I think ur flogging a dead horse there ..

BTW Nothing to do with the NBA here, I've been a Celtics fan since I started following the NBA in 92/93 ..

Are you saying you can't grasp something as simple as someone supporting one team primarily, but also having another team they like in the opposite conference?

It isn't string theory mate - it's pretty simple.

lol you are missing the point, you accuse Karl of not being 100% focused on his team winning when you did the same thing.

I thought the whole deal about wanting a coach fired was so the team would have success. How is that not being focused on winning?
You wanted him gone too. Would you like me to reel out the quote where you said you'd rather have Neil Daniher than Mark Thompson when we were 4-3 last season? :)
