Wonder if anyone could name and shame the buffoon that trashed Honeychurch when we drafted him?

I'd love for it to be a Melbourne or Richmond recruiting manager just for irony's sake. Whoever it is, they'll be choking on those words. Turned Dahlhaus and Honeychurch into quality footballers and Footscray die-hards after they, particularly Dahl, were initially rejected and insulted. Calls to mind that old phrase - 'Stick it up em!'

He's not an arrogant prick, there's a start!

I've spoken to Mitch a couple of times, he's a fantastic kid. Can't speak highly enough of his attitude, and his football obviously speaks for itself. Can't wait to see him get a run in the seniors :)

He was very impressive today. Plays the game with an audaciousness that we love as Bulldog fans, it has been a rare characteristic in our squad over the past couple of years. Reaching into the Eade era even. A bit of a pest, dead eye dick, loves a goal and has a bit of pace. Extrovert. Easy to get around.

I hope so. Deserves the run. Pretty shattered if I miss his debut given I've attended all bar two (Perth and Canberra) Dogs games this year!

Agree 100%.

Even though they all understand they've got some way to go, we've got a few boys that are brash and play with an arrogance - Stringer, Hunter, Honey, even Bonts. Will serve us well in the future.

I really liked Honeychurch before the draft, but I'm still not sure how we can fit all of Dahlhaus, Hunter, Hrovat, Smith and Honeychurch in the side (Tutt as well if he happens to make it). Not a bad problem to have I guess, it will at least give us some good depth.

Fair point, Dal, Hunter I can see being first 22, Smith and the Rat will have to take their opportunities when they come. Honey and Tutt, time will tell, but damn Honey can play!

Different tribunal though isn't it? Not the MRP.

He averaged 20 and 2 player at elite junior level
He is averaging 25 and 2 at senior VFL
The only question which needs answering is whether the church of milk and honey intends to average
30 and 2 or 25 and 3 at AFL level. Apparently, he is open minded but Bmac is trying to convince we need more goals - so I expect 25 and 3

I look forward to having both Honey and Dahl in the same team...Our forward line hasn't been the same since Dahl's pushed up the ground, we're lacking someone with that small forward/crumbing talent and ability.
