Incredibly unpopular opinion: I hate the Auskick kids presenting the Premiership medals

Only issue I had was the stage manager didn't organise the positioning very well. The kids being nervous were pretty much hiding behind Willis and so the camera shot on the presentation was awful. Needed to move the microphone to the side and back and present in front of Willis.

I like it.
Although what was with the 2 or 3 kids who didn't walk up to the podium and did the whole thing on the grass in front of the stage? Did they not see the dozen or so kids before them?

The kids are too young. Auskickers are 5 or 6.

The kids who live and breathe football, sleep in their guernsey, kick the ball all day in the back yard and cry when their team lose are 8-10 years of age. Would have more impact on that age group.

If you want to go the plastic, corporate route and exclude a huge segment of society, you seriously don't belong in this country. **** off out and take your dismal attitude with you. You are showing how disconnected, ignorant and discriminatory you are.

So anyone who doesn't share your views on who should present the AFL Grand Final medals should be made to leave the country? And you think they are the ones who are disconnected, ignorant and discriminatory?

Get a grip

Why hand out medals at all? We should go back to the old days when the captain took hold of the cup, the sides changed jumpers, and they did a lap of the ground.

And bring back the VFL with six different matches at six different grounds. Bring back the final four. Bring back deliberate out of bounds. And bring back the men only MCC.

And women in the Lounge Bar!

Fair to say that im not in as good shape as your average premiership winning footballer, but can you imaging having to bend down like that after having just played what is likely one of the most intense games of your life? god my back and legs ache just thinking about it

Hate it with a passion.
These same kids are those who play the auskick game at half time.
They'll already remember the day as the best day of their life as they ran around on the G infront of 100,000 people.
Why give them more?

I just hate how politically correct this country has become. AFL is too focused on being seen as 'all-inclusive' that it takes away from the moment.

I for one would much rather see the next Crows premiership team receive the medallions from McLeod than 22 different kids who generally manage to **** a few up.

Hawks did all right today, only one player didn't understand it and put the hat on his own head and fortunately he was corrected before he got too far.

I like the kid who dropped the medal on the ground during the handshake.
