Wait what? It requires raytracing?
Harrison Ford GIF by Indiana Jones

Yep, first PC game where it's a hardware requirement.

Welcome to the future. I believe this is the first PC game I can't play at all on my current PC (and not just with everything turned down to Low settings with a shit frame rate haha)

Absolutely loving it, it's everything I would want in an Indiana Jones game, my only annoyance and it's very small although in this day and age I'd argue almost unacceptable, simply not enough different enemy designs. They all basically look the same.
Which sounds like an Indi movie. They are all the same besides the main bad guy and maybe 1 or 2 massive guys every 30 minutes for comedy reasons.

Here's a demo of PC settings and hardware and it's definitely surprising. I think PC gamers are traumatised from whenever they see spec charts and see things like upscaling and expect the worst. He even demos with a 7800xt and it's not too bad. 100fps at Ultra (without path tracing) with a 4070 Super at 1440p native resolution in the opening section is pretty impressive considering how daunting the spec chart looked. He is using a 7800x3d though so unsure what sort of bottlenecks await non-3dvcache CPUs. I was going to wait but I think now I'll jump into this over Christmas holidays/whenever I finish Stalker 2.

I wonder if eventually there’ll be an update where you can play the game in full third person mode.
Probably not as they have said they didn't ant to turn the game into another Uncharted type game

At least give gamers the option. Rockstar did it with with Red Dead Redemption 2 you can play in first person or 3rd person.

While i love Cyberpunk there was no point in customising V where you can only see you self in a mirror or riding a motorcycle.

My brother has a gaming laptop that's about 5 years old had to put everthing on low settings which sucks.

This is why I prefer console gaming you just buy the game and it runs. with PC rigs you have check if you system can run it if not then you need to spend money on upgrading which could cost the same price of a ps5 or xbox.

Not a fan of gaming laptops myself. Full of compromises.

My PC will be 10 years old next year and this is the first game I cannot run at all. It's had a good run. I was still rocking an Xbox 360 back then.

I really wish game demos were still more of a thing.

Everything looks positive but I'd rather not drop $119 on a game just to try it.

Gamepass trial?

Was just telling my wife yesterday how much I miss demo discs (after watching a DF Retro video on PlayStation vs Sega Saturn multiplatform racing games lol)

I remember getting the Official Australian PlayStation Magazine and just smashing the demo disc games over and over AND OVER. So many games I would have never have played if it wasn't for them.

Kept me going between Christmas and my birthday too.

One of my birthday presents was ISS Pro 98 and I mainly wanted it for the Metal Gear Solid demo that came with it. Ended up being the best soccer game I had ever played until then (and for years after), while Metal Gear Solid became my favourite PSone game ever.

Yeah its weird, I don't get customisation/clothing options existing in 1st person games at all.

Although in the case of Cyberpunk I reckon it was pretty clear it began as 3rd person before they switched it to 1st mid-development.

Started this yesterday and I absolutely CANNOT get over how good Troy Baker is as Indy. If I didn't know, there is no way I could tell that it's not Harrison Ford - I keep thinking to myself while playing it "they got Ford in to say and do all this shit?" and then remember that it's Baker.

Otherwise, it's Indiana Wolfenstein, which I'm all for. Currently at the Vatican and can't wait to explore more.

Yeah Troy nailed it, an incredible performance. I was watching a video the other day where he said a few years ago he was contacted about doing the voice for this game but recommended 2 other people as he was sure he couldn’t do it.

It just makes it feel so much more Indy if that makes sense, a real fine line if he ‘sort of sounded like Indy’ & ‘I can’t tell the difference’.

Has anyone encourted the whip glitch in the Vatican?

A mate of mine encountered it late in the Vatican level and is stuck. Apparently quite a few people have developed it at different stages of the game

In Giza and had to do a big mission in the giant Nazi compound, is there a better way to open the padlocked little chests or only via a gun? Anyway, 100 dead nazi's later and a free compound to explore.
