There is not a lot of evidence against Hunter and what little evidence there is, the MAGA arm of the republican party is desperately trying to add 2+3 and get 4. So it wouldnt surprise me if Biden was advised to pardon his son as MAGA was almost certainly going to make a dog and pony show out of any trial with a fixed result. Basically a return serve for the Trump prosecutions.
All I can say is that I would not want to be on Trumps enemies list. I do think we are going to be in for a shock as to the willingness of Trump to send every name on that list to Jail.
Its no surprise.

As for vaccines and autism.

The peddling of misinformation is a huge concern when you have an administration who use it as their modus operandi.

In terms of the laptop garbage, you are correct that it was all just a big MAGA witch hunt.
However, the other charges, relating to his gun ownership and payment of taxes, were very real.

The gun charges related to him lying about his drug abuse problem when he filled out a gun purchase form. He thus illegally owned the weapon for 11 days. He was found guilty on 3 felony charges.So that was the gun he was charged with.

Unlike the MAGA witch hunts relating to the laptop, the gun charges were real, and he was found guilty.
There is a fair argument that he would never have been charged if he wasn't the Presiden't son, as it was only the scrutiny he was placed under (as a result of MAGA's desperate search for dirt on Joe Biden) which revealed it in the first place. Nevertheless, he did the crime, and was duly found guilty - which is exactly how the law is supposed to work.

Hundreds have been charged with large sentences for lesser crimes. He was found guilty by a Delaware jury who the Bidens thought would let him off.
