You are another one scientifically illiterate. You can’t help it. It’s just who you are. And yes I have put the other one on ignore.

The the symptom of fake news. we live in an era where science is no longer science. Science now is regarded as a thing that only correct when it suits the narrative. Trump and MAGA only live on good news and fake news. There is no bad. So are they truly science illiterate or are they merely refusing to acknowledge the facts. Its funny because MAGA are the first to laugh at people who are offended by facts and science when it comes to biology eg trans but they get their knickers in a not when something comes out that doesnt suit their pathetic world view.

LOL Boasting about Trump being Times Person of the year.

...****ing Adolf Hitler was a Times person of the year too LOL, and the murderer Putin. Hahaha.

People equate Person of the Year as Good. Its not, its even written in the criteria. Its the most influential person in the world good or bad. So Trump winning it isnt because of his sparking personality and his supernatural intelligence.

May not have been a landslide in terms of total votes cast - but it was definitely a landslide in terms of EC votes won.

You can belittle them as much as you want for the stupidity of voting in the orange turd for a 2nd time, after his disasterous 1st term - but it's clearly the choice of the US public, and needs to be respected as such.

All we can do now is sit back and watch, hoping that he doesn't do irreparable damage to the USA and the wider world in general over the next 4 years.

The problem that MAGA supporters have is they see everything in black and white and its something that has prompted me to walk away most of the time from the politics threads. The blind refusal to acknowledge anything bad Trump says or does is not only seriously pathetic it treats the topics with contempt, arrogance and people trying to engage with them they treat like they are stupid, all because we dont agree with them. Its hard to know where they think they are earning any respect from anyone on this site.

Oh all of the Trump posters on the Elections Thread (and that includes a few of them on here) have zero respect given they see nothing at all wrong with Trump.

It is sad that they are so blinded. We will see what comes from Jan 20th but their warped sense of reality, we will see anything that he said prior to Nov 5th will be rewritten like “he didn’t say that” even though there is clear evidence he didn’t.

There's plenty wrong with Trump but the majority of Americans initially thought he was way better than the stumbling, bumbling muttering corpse that was Joe Biden and the Democrats who absolutely trashed the joint during their tenure. And then foisted a hopeless candidate in Kamals Harris on the voters who saw through her in short time.

Democrats only have themselves to blame sticking with an absolutely senile old coot for way way way too long then leaving themselves no time to go through the right processes to put a credible candidate up.

With a year of hindsight and the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, what do people think Hamas were hoping to achieve with the October 2023 attacks?

They would have known full well that they didn’t have a hope in hell of defeating Israel in a fair fight.

The absolute best case scenario they could have hoped for therefore would be to provoke Israel into killing enough Palestinians that:
  • their more powerful Muslim neighbours join the fight, destabilising and dragging the region into a holy war, and
  • millions of angry young Muslim boys are radicalised by the horrors the war has inflicted on innocent Palestinians caught in the middle, creating the next generation of Hamas recruits.
And so on and so on.

It's reasonable to assume then that they have achieved exactly what they intended. It's also easy to see why this conflict has being going on for 70+ years.

That Hamas are indiscriminately killing Israeli civilians doesn't excuse Israel for doing the same, particularly if they are presenting themselves as the civilised alternative to lead the region, and hold any hope of governing Palestinians within their territory in the future.

That Hamas are taking the cowardly approach of using Palestinian civilians as human shields doesn't give Israel carte-blanche and absolve them of any responsibility for murdering those civilians en route to their intended target.

It’s weird that so many seem to see this as a controversial opinion, and that so many are unconditionally excusing any and all actions by Israel. People from all cultures and faiths are capable of and should be culpable for their shitty behaviour. Criticising murderous arseholes like Hamas & Netanyahu is not tantamount to criticising an entire faith as some are naively suggesting.

Let the hostages go (if still alive) because this current issue won't finish until Hamas do that.

Pretty simple solution to end the bloodshed.

I will leave judgement until mid next year but let’s see his approval/disapproval ratings come July 4th next year.

If he can deliver well kudos to him but we know what he said so he will be judged on that.
I am sure DJT is thankful that you are giving him the wriggle room. Your vote of acceptance means so much to him. :)
